The left and right sides of the emitter and driver housings define top and bottom edges that are respectively coplanar with the top and bottom edges of the vertical fins.

A recessed light fixture has a heat sink and a removable light engine assembly. A thermally conductive base of the light engine assembly has an LED and has a thermal interface adapted for thermal coupling to a thermal interface of the heat sink. A mechanical connector in the enclosure can connect the base of the light engine assembly to the heat sink and couple the thermal interfaces of the light engine assembly and heat sink. The base of the light engine assembly is insertable through an opening in the ceiling aligned and can be urged into connected and disconnected states, from within the room, where a clearance between the opening in the ceiling and the base is no more than about 0.05 inches, whereby the light engine assembly can be replaced or serviced from within the room without disturbing the ceiling and without the use of a large diameter trim.

The partially lit T-bar includes a spine with a rest shelf at a lower portion thereof. The rest shelf supports adjacent ceiling tiles. The under surface of the rest shelf includes a lighting module on a portion and a plain unlit undersurface on other portions. Additional T-bars which are shorter, and typically fully lit or fully unlit and half the length of the partially lit T-bar are also provided which can attach at ends or near a midpoint of the partially lit T-bar and typically perpendicularly thereto. A great variety of lighting patterns in a dropped ceiling is thus facilitated. Each of the T-bars preferably also includes a heat sink on an upper portion of the spine and also preferably a lower heat sink on an upper portion of the rest shelf. Heat associated with the light element of the T-bar can thus be drawn away from a space below the ceiling.

The bracket is disposed within the housing, and the bracket includes a main body and a first fixing portion arranged along the outer edge of the main body. The main body of the bracket connected to a side surface of the heat sink is connected to the housing through the first fixing portion to dispose the heat sink in the housing. When the bracket is fixedly connected to the inner wall of the housing, the heat sink can be firmly installed inside the housing and it is not easy to loosen during use, so that the heat sink can continuously and stably dissipate for the lamp.

A thermal management system for led luminaires that, in certain embodiments, includes a heat sink, a heat-dissipating pipe, a base plate, a variable speed air-cooling element, an air-directing structure, a temperature measuring element, and a driver that includes at least one of thermal sensing response logic, light-emitting dimming control logic, fan speed control logic and air-cooling element malfunction detection logic. In some instances, the heat sink includes a plurality of fins coupled to a base plate. In some instances, one or more heat-dissipating pipes extend partially inserted along the length of the base plate and outwardly away from an end of the base plate. In some embodiments, an LED PCB assembly is coupled to the base plate. In some embodiments, fan speed variability, LED dimming, or both are engaged in combination with heat transfer and dissipation associated with the heat sink and the one or more heat-dissipating pipes.

High Output Micro Luminary

A recessed light fixture has a heat sink and a removable light engine assembly. A thermally conductive base of the light engine assembly has an LED and has a thermal interface adapted for thermal coupling to a thermal interface of the heat sink. A mechanical connector in the enclosure can connect the base of the light engine assembly to the heat sink and couple the thermal interfaces of the light engine assembly and heat sink. The base of the light engine assembly is insertable through an opening in the ceiling aligned and can be urged into connected and disconnected states, from within the room, with a minimal clearance between the opening in the ceiling and the base, whereby the light engine assembly can be replaced or serviced from within the room without disturbing the ceiling and without the use of a large diameter trim.
