LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE
A light emitting device includes a housing; a light source unit; and a cooling unit provided in the housing to discharge heat to an outside of the housing by means of a gas, the heat being generated by the light source unit. The cooling unit includes an introduction portion, a heat exchange portion, and a circulation portion that guides the gas from the introduction portion to the heat exchange portion. The circulation portion includes a first flow path receiving the gas from the introduction portion, and a second flow path receiving the gas from the first flow path, and being connected to the heat exchange portion. The first flow path includes a portion having a flow path area larger than a flow path area of the introduction portion.
RECESSED LIGHT-EMITTING DIODE LIGHTING FIXTURE
A recessed lighting fixture comprises a generally annular body having a central cavity in the form of a partially spherical socket. There is a lighting support member having a partially spherical exterior portion which is closely fitted within the partially spherical socket of the annular body. The lighting support member is pivotable relative to the annular body, but air flow between the partially spherical socket of the annular body and the partially spherical exterior portion of the lighting support member is substantially restricted. There may be a light source mounted to the lighting support member adj acent a bottom thereof. The light source may be a light-emitting diode.
Optical member and light emission device
An optical member includes: a body portion having a first upper surface, and a second upper surface that is located above the first upper surface and surrounds the first upper surface in a plan view; a phosphor member disposed on the first upper surface; and a hold-down portion configured to secure the phosphor member such that the phosphor member is interposed between the hold-down portion and the body portion.

Illumination Device for Providing Optimum Growing Conditions
An assimilation lamp device (101; 800) for stimulating plant and crop growth comprises: a central lamp unit (10), comprising a body (14) and one or more LEDs (12) mounted to the bottom surface of the body, wherein the body acts as a heat sink for the heat generated by the LEDs. The device further comprises air stream generating means (42) for generating a downward air stream (43; 341), and heat transfer and exchange means for transferring heat from the body to the air stream, so that heat from the LEDs is used to increase the temperature of said downward air stream and is eventually used to warm the environment of the plants. A device controller (850) has a set point input (859) and generates control signals for the LEDs and the air stream generating means in conformity with an input signal received at its set point input.
Portable elevated lighting system
Improvements a portable elevated lighting system that uses LED lighting elements for illumination. The LED lights are selected based upon the light transmission angle so the fewest number of lighting elements are needed to provide an even flood or focus of light from the system. A reflector works as a heat sink to remove heat from the LED lights and extend the operation life of the LED's. Thermal paste and or a thermal pad is used between the LED lighting element and the frame to conduct sufficient heat away from the LED element. Two versions are shown as a stadium light and as a circular flood light that provides lighting without shadows or bright areas. The system can be operated from a generator or solar for charging batteries so the lighting can operate self-contained without producing noise.
Lighting assembly
A modular lighting assembly uses LED banks as the light sources. The assembly allows the power supply and LED banks to be independently replaced. The assembly uses a power supply that is separated from the LED banks and electrically connected to the LED banks with a plug connector that may be unplugged and plugged back in to allow the power supply or LED bank to be independently and readily replaced. The assembly provides for easy replacement of the different components of the assembly. One feature that makes the components easier to replace is that the light modules and/or the power supply may be carried by the housing that is removable from the base mount that is secured to a mounting structure such as a wall or ceiling.

Deterrent device attachment having light source with thermal management
Deterrent device attachments are provided each having a light emitting thermal source positioned by a support board to emit light from within a housing of the deterrent device, with the support board bent to provide surface areas to dissipate heat generated by the light emitter.
