Steam generator tube support

A tube support assembly for a steam generator system is disclosed herein, including a sheet or support bar configured to support a plurality of heat transfer tubes of the steam generator system and a set of projections extending from a surface of the sheet or support bar. A distance that the set of projections extend from the surface of the sheet or support bar may be greater than, or equal to, an external diameter of a heat transfer tube. The adjacent tubes of the plurality of tubes may be separated from each other by one or more projections.

Systems and methods for steam separator tie bar repair or replacement

Systems enhance stand pipe alignment and security with braces docking to the stand pipes. A link connects pairs of braces so the braces and stand pipes docked thereby cannot move relative to each other when fully secured. Partially securing braces allows adjustment of the braces and distance between the same and thus stand pipe position. Fully securing the braces makes the entire system rigid without need for a tie bar. Braces and links can be installed and secured to the stand pipes and among each other at an axial position from above the stand pipes, so that overhead, simple tooling may be used. A crimp nut or other resilient connector may be used to secure the systems from that single dimension with simple tooling. Any number of braces, joining to any number of other braces, may be used in the system, and several systems may be used at various levels.

Anti-vibration tube support plate arrangement for steam generators

A means of offsetting semi-circular tube support plates typically present in heat exchangers with cross flow baffles, such as axial flow economizers, utilizing the motive force of steam generator pressurization. The offset slightly flexes the tubes, thereby providing a preload which minimizes the potential for tube vibration and wear.

Anti-clogging steam generator tube bundle

A tube and shell steam generator having an anti-clogging heat exchange tube bundle wherein the tube support plates within the tube bundle are designed with varying degrees of porosity thereby regulating local secondary side fluid conditions (velocity, quality, superheat, void fraction, etc.) in a manner to reduce the potential for clogging of the tube support plate lobes that are more prone to clogging.

System and device for supporting horizontal boiler tubes

A system for supporting horizontal boiler tubes comprises a support plate, a vertical stringer tube, and a shear lug. The shear lug attaches the support plate to the vertical stringer tube through a slot in the support plate. A plurality of supporting arms extend outwardly from the first and second sides perpendicular to a main body portion of the support plate. Each supporting arm includes a retaining lip extending upwardly from a distal end of the supporting arm and a rounded recess, the rounded recess and retaining lip defining a cradle within which a horizontal boiler tube may rest.

TUBE SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR NUCLEAR STEAM GENERATORS

Apparatus for a steam generator that employs tube support plates within a shroud that is in turn disposed within a shell. The tube support plates are made of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion lower than that of the shroud. The tube support plates are aligned during fabrication, with minimal clearances between components. Using a tube support displacement system, a controlled misalignment is then imposed on one or more tube support plates, as the steam generator heats up. The tube support plate displacement system has only one part, a push rod, which is internal to the steam generator shroud, thereby minimizing the potential of loose parts. The tube support plate displacement system can be used to provide controlled misalignments on one or more tube support plates, in the same or varying amounts and directions, and with one or more apparatus for each individual tube support plate.

Steam generator tube lane flow buffer

A tube and shell steam generator in which a series of rods having a diameter substantially equal to that of the heat exchange tubing in the tube bundle are placed on either side of the tube lane to buffer the flow in the tube lane from the heat exchange tubes to attenuate turbulent forces on the first several rows of heat exchange tubes adjacent to the tube lane.

PAIR OF SUPPORT PLATES FOR TUBES IN A REACTOR VESSEL

A device (1.1; 1.2) with a reactor vessel (2), a tube bundle (3) of multiple tubes (4), a first support plate (5) and a second support plate (6), wherein the tube bundle (3) is located in the reactor vessel (2), wherein the tube bundle (3) comprises multiple first tube groups (7) and multiple second tube groups (8), wherein the first support plate (5) and the second support plate (6) are disposed in the reactor vessel (2) transversely to a longitudinal axis (9) of the reactor vessel (2), wherein the first support plate (5) is offset from the second support plate (6) along the longitudinal axis (9) of the reactor vessel (2).
