Support for radiant covering and floor heating elements
A support for the heating elements of radiant coverings and floors includes bosses having a concave surface. In some examples, the concave surface includes at least one adhering low relief that creates an extraction-preventing undercut on the concave surface.
FLOOR HEATING SYSTEM INCLUDING MEMBRANES THAT ARE CONFIGURED TO BE JOINED TOGETHER TO HOUSE A HEATING CABLE, AND FLOORING UNDERLAYMENT INCLUDING SUCH MEMBRANES
A flooring underlayment includes a base membrane and a cover membrane. The base membrane is configured to be installed between a subfloor and floor tiles to allow movement of the floor tiles relative to the subfloor. The cover membrane is configured to be coupled to the base membrane to form a flat surface for supporting the floor tiles. The cover membrane is configured to be coupled to the base membrane using at least one of a snug fit and a snap fit.
Uncoupling Mat with Heating Elements
An uncoupling mat includes a flexible layer made of a film-like plastic with structuring that defines indentations provided with undercuts on a first, top side and a series of annular cavities formed on an opposite second, bottom side. The annular cavities on the bottom side each define a recess on the first side. The indentations have a cross-section adapted to receive a heating cable therein such that the cable can be held in position by the indentations. A plurality of weakening zones each extends between two rows of annular cavities in a straight line to allow the plastic layer to move substantially transversely to the direction of extension of the weakening zones.
Flooring underlayment
A flooring underlayment comprises a membrane that includes a body panel having a panel top surface and a panel underside surface spaced apart from the panel top surface by a panel thickness. The membrane further includes a plurality of dimples projecting downward from the panel underside surface, each dimple having a dimple upper end open to the panel top surface, a closed dimple lower end spaced apart from the dimple upper end by a dimple height, and a dimple sidewall extending between the dimple upper end and the dimple lower end, the dimple sidewall configured to inhibit collapse of the dimple height when a load is applied to the flooring underlayment during use. The membrane includes a plurality of grooves open to the panel top surface and formed within a groove body projecting downward from the panel underside surface, each groove shaped to receive an elongated heating element therein.
Temperature control system
A support structure for a heating or cooling system includes a plurality of projections designed to be capable of retaining one or more thermal elements positioned adjacent thereto. The projections are positioned so as to form a first set of substantially parallel undulating channels, each channel having one of the projections forming at least a part of the inner radius of each undulation, with each projection having a recess formed in a side wall thereof facing said channel. The undulations of the channel ensure that a thermal element positioned in the channel will make contact with the projections each time it has to bend around one, without requiring spacing of the projections to squeeze the thermal element. The thermal element can thus be held securely without any play (unwanted lateral movement) in a channel that is slightly wider than the thermal element. Recesses in the channels at the contact points also restrict movement in the vertical direction, thus preventing the thermal element from ‘popping out’ of the channel, while not requiring any restriction narrower than the thermal element.
DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING AND FASTENING HEATING PIPES OF A HEATING SYSTEM PLACED IN SUBFLOORS, WALLS OR CEILINGS OF BUILDINGS
The invention relates to a device for supporting and fastening heating pipes of a heating system placed in subfloors, walls or ceilings of a building.
The device comprises: a laminar body having a first face and an opposite second face, a plurality of fastening elements made in one piece on the first face of the laminar body and configured to fasten said heating pipes on the first face. The invention is characterized in that both the laminar body and the fastening elements of the device are in a mixture comprising at least one thermoplastic polymer and thermally conductive inorganic fillers.
UNCOUPLING MAT WITH HEATING ELEMENTS
An uncoupling mat includes a flexible plastic layer (2) made of plastic film with structuring that defines indentations (6) provided with undercuts (5) on a first, top side (4) and cavities (8) positioned between the indentations (6) on an opposite second, bottom side (7). A fleece or fabric (3) is securely connected to the bottom side (7) and covers the cavities (8). A cross-section of the indentations (6) in at least some corner regions (10) increases from the bottom side (7) toward the top side (4).
Radiant panel with varied channel geometries for enhanced retention of tubing
A radiant panel having a U-shaped channel or groove with substantially parallel vertical sides. Because varied diameter tubing pressed into curved channels of varying radius will change their shape from round to oval by different amounts, channel width will be reduced at curved channel areas as appropriate, based on tubing size and channel radius. This reduction in curved channel width compared to straight channel width allows for a consistent friction force to be developed upon pressing the tubing into a channel. The depth of groove may be varied to allow for the increased vertical dimension of tubing which is deformed from round to oval by bending forces, so that tubing can be installed consistently flush with the surface of the radiant panel. Varying width and depth will also tend to maximize the contact area of tube to conductive surface, thereby improving the flow of heat from tube to radiant panel.
INTERMEDIATE PRODUCT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A SURFACE HEAT EXCHANGER AND THE SAME
An intermediate product for the production of a surface heat exchanger, in particular for building room air conditioning, including a support plate, on one side of which a tube system for conducting a medium is attached and on the other side of which a prefabricated adhesive tape having a manually removable outer protective layer is arranged, wherein the adhesive tape is free of any support.
