WIND DRIVEN RAIN LOUVER

A louver blade for a louver assembly includes a first segment and a second segment, where the second segment is adjustable relative to the first segment to selectively contact the first segment, the second segment is configured to reduce an amount of free area between adjacent louver blades of the louver assembly in a first position of the second segment, and the second segment is configured to increase the amount of free area between adjacent louver blades of the louver assembly in a second position of the second segment.

Airfoil blade and method of assembly
10955167 · 2021-03-23 · ·

An airfoil blade assembly includes an upper airfoil shell, and a lower airfoil shell and a pair of upper legs protruding from the upper airfoil shell and extending towards the lower airfoil shell. A pair of lower legs protrudes from the lower airfoil shell and extending towards the upper airfoil shell and are formed by bending material of the lower airfoil shell back upon itself. An upper strengthening rib formed is in the upper airfoil shell, and a lower strengthening rib is formed in the lower airfoil shell. The pair of upper legs and the pair of lower legs are abutting when the upper airfoil shell and the lower airfoil shell are selectively fixed to one another.

Self-sealing vent assembly

Example embodiments use hydrophilic substances to absorb moisture from the air passing through the vent cover. The vent cover is recommended to be used along with a fan to regulate the air flow through the vent cover. The vent cover has holes, and the holes are filled with the hydrophilic material (i.e., hydrogel or polyacrylamide beads). Once enough moisture from the air passes through the vent cover, the vent cover seals itself and prevents air from flowing. The hydrophilic material allows the water to evaporate over time and thus effectively removes the seal.

MULTI-COMPONENT WHOLE HOUSE FAN SYSTEM

Apparatus and method for ventilating a building structure, such as a residence. In some embodiments, a ventilation system includes a damper assembly which extends through an interior substrate (e.g., an interior wall) of the structure and an exhaust assembly which extends through an exterior substrate (e.g., an exterior wall of the structure and which is in communication with the damper assembly via a control circuit. The interior wall separates a conditioned space and an unconditioned space. The exhaust assembly is initially activated to vent exhaust air from the unconditioned space while a door of the damper assembly remains closed. The door is subsequently opened responsive to a measured environmental parameter, such as a differential pressure between the conditioned and unconditioned spaces, to generate a combined airflow that passes from the conditioned space to the unconditioned space and then to the exterior of the structure.

Air register

An air register including a body having a front plate with a front surface, a rear surface, and at least one opening extending from the front surface to the rear surface, an upper air dam having a leading edge and a trailing edge, a lower air dam having a leading edge and a trailing edge, an air flow control mechanism operatively connected to the upper air dam or the lower air dam rotate both the upper air dam and the lower air dam simultaneously, and wherein the upper air dam and the lower air dam rotate in opposite directions upon operation of the air flow control mechanism.

Frameless hinged access door system

A frameless HVAC door system for reduced noise transmission leakage, and improved installation. The system includes a first member having opposed first and second surfaces and a first size that defines a first perimeter extending around the first and second surfaces. The first member is further equipped with a latch spaced apart from a hinge member on the first member. The door further includes a second member mounted on the first member first surface. The second member includes a sidewall extending around the second member to define a second member perimeter. The second member further includes a second member surface extending between the side walls and along the second member perimeter to define a compartment. The compartment is insulated against noise and temperature change. The second member perimeter is smaller than the first member perimeter, which defines a flange extending from the second member perimeter to the first member perimeter to define a flange perimeter. The flange is equipped with a resilient elastic foam sealing material along its perimeter. The first member is hingedly mounted to a surface around an opening for pivotal movement relative thereto. When the latch engages the latch receiver, it distributes a uniform compressive sealing force along the flange when the first member is in a closed position relative to the opening.

AIR CONDITIONING DIFFUSER ASSEMBLY
