An electronic expansion valve comprises: a valve body, the valve body comprising a main body section, an extension section, and a step section, wherein a valve seat core being in a tubular shape and having openings at two ends, wherein the valve seat core comprises a tubular body and a limiting step formed at one end of the tubular body, the tubular body penetrates through the extension section, the limiting step abuts against the inner wall of the step section, and one end of the tubular body away from the limiting step extends out of the extension section; and an air outlet pipe, which is sleeved in the extension section and abuts against an outer wall of the step section, a groove is defined by an inner wall of the air outlet pipe, the extension section, and an outer wall of the tubular body in a surrounding mode.

An expansion valve operable by a stepper motor, the expansion valve including a housing; a hollow shaft arranged in the housing; a valve base that supports the hollow shaft and closes the housing; a rotor that is drivable by a stator of the stepper motor; a center spool arranged within the hollow shaft and drivable by the rotor so that a rotation of the center spool is transferrable by a threaded connection into an axial movement of the center spool that opens or closes the expansion valve; and a spiral body that includes a thread turn and that is arranged about an enveloping surface of the hollow shaft and that is drivable by the rotor, wherein a stop body is arranged at the hollow shaft and movable in the thread turn of the spiral body.

The invention relates to a valve (1, 1a), in particular an expansion valve, for controlling fluid flow, having a valve central housing (10, 10a) having a first and a second opening (12, 12a, 14, 14a) and a valve element (20, 20a) which has a rotationally symmetrical outline and is arranged rotatably within the valve element housing (10, 10a). According to the invention, the valve element (20, 20a) has a cut-out, wherein the cut-out (30, 30a, 30b, 30c) has a variable dimension, and a sub region (32, 32a) of the cutout (30, 30a, 30b, 30c) is formed continuously through the valve element (20, 20a).

Expansion valve position detection in refrigeration system
A refrigerated display case having a housing defining a temperature controlled space and a refrigeration system coupled to the housing is provided. The refrigeration system is configured to be operable to affect a temperature of the temperature controlled space. The refrigeration system includes an actuator, a controller, and a sensor. The controller is configured to continuously update a stored position of the actuator based on measurement of an electric current provided to the actuator, retrieve the stored position after a power failure, and restart control based on the stored position of the actuator. The sensor is configured to communicate with the controller.
