PROCESS FOR PRECOOLING HYDROGEN FOR LIQUEFACTION WITH SUPPLEMENT LIQUID NITROGEN
A hydrogen feed stream is introduced into a primary refrigeration system of a precooling system and cooling the hydrogen stream to a first precooling temperature. From there, the precooled hydrogen stream is then introduced to a secondary refrigeration system of the precooling system and cooling the precooled hydrogen stream to a second temperature. Next, the cooled hydrogen stream is then liquefied in the liquefaction system to produce liquid hydrogen.

PROCESS FOR PRECOOLING HYDROGEN FOR LIQUEFACTION USING EXTERNAL LIQUID NITROGEN AND HIGH PRESSURE GASEOUS NITROGEN
The refrigeration is provided by expansion of a pressurized gaseous nitrogen stream and vaporization of a liquid nitrogen stream that is sourced from a nearby air separation unit.

Refrigeration cycle for liquid oxygen densification
Closed-loop refrigeration cycles for liquid oxygen densification are disclosed. The disclosed refrigeration cycles may be turbine-based refrigeration cycles or a Joule-Thompson (JT) expansion valve based refrigeration cycles and include a refrigerant or working fluid comprising a mixture of neon or helium together with nitrogen and/or oxygen.
METHOD TO CONTROL THE COOLDOWN OF MAIN HEAT EXCHANGERS IN LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS PLANT
A method to control the cooldown of main heat exchangers in liquefied natural gas plant. The method provides for the automated control of a flow rate of a natural gas feed stream through a heat exchanger based on one or more process variables and set points. The flow rate of refrigerant streams through the heat exchanger is controlled by different process variables and set points, and is controlled independently of the flow rate of the natural gas feed stream.
