The pre-crimped tab is bent outward from a longitudinal axis. The slot portion has a throughhole. The base member has the other of the pre-crimped tab and the slot portion on the first lateral side. The tank member and the base member are fitted together to define an inner cavity therebetween. The pre-crimped tab is inserted in the throughhole on the first lateral side. One of the tank member and the base member is crimped to the other of the tank member and the base member on a second lateral side.
MANIFOLD INTEGRATED INTERCOOLER WITH STRUCTURAL CORE
A heat exchanger for a vehicle includes an inlet tank configured to receive air from an air circuit of the vehicle. The heat exchanger further includes a heat exchange assembly disposed intermediate the inlet tank and an outlet tank. The heat exchange assembly exchanging heat between the air and a coolant. The outlet tank is configured to directly couple to an engine block of the vehicle and convey the air to the engine block. The outlet tank has at least two openings formed therein. The openings are configured to communicate with corresponding cylinders of the engine block of the vehicle.
HEAT EXCHANGER
The present invention relates to a heat exchanger comprising: a header tank having a plurality of flow paths in which a heat exchange medium flows; multiple rows of tubes connected to the header tank; and heat radiation fins interposed between the tubes, wherein the tubes include a heat exchange part coupled to the heat radiation fins and a coupling part that is formed on a longitudinal end of the heat exchange part and coupled to the header tank, the width of the coupling part is formed to be less than the width of the heat exchange part so that the overall package size of the heat exchanger may be reduced, thus enabling a compact configuration, and the space between neighboring rows of the tubes may be reduced, thus making it possible to reduce the material of the heat radiation fins.
HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger, for example a charge-air cooler, may include at least two bases respectively having a passage for receiving a plurality of fluid-conducting tubes on a longitudinal end side. The heat exchanger may include at least one collecting chamber arranged on at least one of the at least two bases, and at least one lateral part received via a longitudinal end area at least partially in an end-side passage of an associated base of the at least two bases. The longitudinal end area of the at least one lateral part may have a beam shape and at least one recess. The longitudinal end area of the at least one lateral part may further have a cross-sectional surface that is smaller than a cross-sectional surface of the end-side passage of the associated base.
Vehicle interior heat exchanger and inter-header connecting member of vehicle interior heat exchanger
Cooling performance is secured by reducing a compression loss when a high-pressure gas refrigerant is allowed to flow without heat exchange on cooling in a vehicle interior heat exchanger. In the vehicle interior heat exchanger, an upstream header and a downstream header are communicated and connected with the same end side of the refrigerant circulation tubes of an upstream tube group and a downstream tube group where the refrigerant circulation tubes are stacked. Internal spaces of the upstream header and the downstream header are communicated and connected with each other via communication holes in the boss portions of the connecting member. In the vehicle interior heat exchanger, the total opening area of the communication holes is set such that the percentage thereof, with respect to the total opening area of the channel on the uppermost stream side of the upstream tube group, is in the range of 38% to 93%.
HEADER PLATE FOR A HEAT EXCHANGER, HEADER BOX AND HEAT EXCHANGER
Header plate for a heat exchanger, comprising a wall (3) provided with orifices (7), and through which tubes (1) arranged in rows in a longitudinal direction (L) are intended to pass, characterized in that: said wall has (3), in cross section, a profile made up of a central portion (13) and of two lateral portions (15), the lateral portions (15) overall follow a first curve with a first radius of curvature (R1), the central portion (13) overall follows a second curve with a second radius of curvature (R2), smaller than the first radius of curvature (R1).
Heat exchange device including a protection device
The present invention relates to a heat exchange device (10) for a motor vehicle including a heat exchanger (12) with first and second collector plates (26; 28), first and second header boxes (30; 56) attached to the collector plates (26; 28) and a bundle (18; 20) of pipes (22) extending between the first and second collector plates (30; 56). Each of the collector plates (30; 56) forms a groove (54; 72) between the pipes (22) of the pipe bundle (18; 20) and a lateral end (50; 68) of the respective collector plate (30; 56). A perforated protective device (14) for the pipes (22) is attached to the heat exchanger (12) using attachment means (78, 80) bearing against the inside of the grooves (54, 72) in the first and second collector plates (26; 28).
