Device to create a hermetic seal for large openings in equipment

The invention refers to a device to create a hermetic seal for large openings in equipment subject to low pressure. According to the invention it is characterized by at least one sealing cover being provided, which is pressed onto the side wall of the equipment by means of bolts, where the bolts are welded to a strip attached to the side wall at the edge of the opening in the equipment. This provides a good, low-cost and hermetic seal.

SPLIT RING ATTACHING AND RESTRAINING DEVICE AND METHOD
20180080723 · 2018-03-22 ·

A split ring includes a split ring body, the body having a first end and a second end; a first fastener hole defined by the first end of the split ring; a second fastener hole defined by the second end of the split ring; a gap defined by the first and second ends approaching each other wherein the first fastener hole and the second fastener hole are aligned to permit a fastener to extend through the first fastener hole, across the gap and through the second fastener hole; and a protrusion extending beyond the body of the split ring, the protrusion being located on the body opposite the gap. A method of forming a split ring includes: forming a split ring body; fixing onto the body a projection that projects above the body; and installing a closing mechanism into the split ring in order to allow the split ring to tighten over an object.

A heat exchanger includes heat transfer plates stacked in a first direction. First branched flow paths are provided between the heat transfer plates. A first distribution portion and a first gathering portion are provided at a first position and at a second position, respectively, in a periphery of the heat transfer plates viewed in the first direction. The second position is opposite to the first position with respect to a center of the heat transfer plates viewed in the first direction. The first distribution portion and the first gathering portion connect the first branched flow paths. The first distribution portion has a first end. The first gathering portion has a fourth end. The fourth end is opposite to the first end with respect to the heat transfer plates viewed in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

Apparatus and process for airheater without quench in carbon black production

In the production of carbon black by the furnace process, fuel and heated combustion air or oxygen enriched air from the combustion air heat exchanger, are fired into the reactor, resulting in a hot flame. Carbonaceous feed stock, injected into this hot flame containing considerable excess oxygen, is pyrolized. The effluent from the reactor reaction zone is quickly cooled, typically by water quench, to prevent secondary reactions that decrease the quality and yield of carbon black. In the present invention, water quench is eliminated and the effluent from the reaction zone passes directly into the metallic combustion airheater, quickly cooling it to stop pyrolysis and heating the combustion air to typically 950 C. The combustion air heater is smaller due to high heat flux per unit volume. Further cooling of the effluent to the carbon black collector, is achieved by series of heat exchangers and trimming water quench.

Heat exchanger closure assemblies and methods of using and installing the same

A heat exchanger assembly including an elongated tubular heat exchanger enclosure defining an interior chamber. A tube sheet is positioned within the interior chamber of the heat exchanger enclosure separating the interior chamber into a shell side and a channel side. The interior portion is configured to removably receive a tube bundle positioned within the shell side of the interior chamber. An annular sleeve member is positioned within the channel side of the interior chamber of the heat exchanger enclosure. An annular elastic torsion member is positioned within the channel side of the interior chamber of the heat exchanger such that the sleeve member is positioned between the tube sheet and the elastic torsion member. The elastic torsion member has an inner circumference deflectable relative to its outer circumference for torsioning the elastic torsion member.

FLUID PIPE AND COOLING DEVICE HAVING THE FLUID PIPE

A fluid pipe and a cooling device having the fluid pipe are disclosed. The fluid pipe of the present application allows the first tubular body to rotate relative to the connecting member and the second tubular body, thereby enabling adjustment of the position of the flow guide member and the second external pipeline connected to the flow guide member. Furthermore, the flow guide member can perform circular motion, the position of the second external pipeline can be further adjusted, facilitating the arrangement of the second external pipeline and reducing bends of the second external pipeline. As such, the length of the second external pipeline can be shortened, the flow rate of fluid within the fluid pipe can be enhanced, and the cooling efficiency can be enhanced.
