Breech system for a firearm
11493290 · 2022-11-08 ·

The invention relates to a breech system for a firearm, having a bolt receiver and a bolt; the bolt receiver is embodied in the form of a hollow cylinder at least with engagement means protruding radially inward and there is also at least one bolt head, which has outward-protruding engagement means that correspond to the inward-protruding engagement means; the bolt head is supported in rotary fashion on a bolt carrier and there is also a bolt body, which is able to slide on a bolt head shaft of the bolt head, and between the bolt body and the bolt carrier, there is at least one compression spring, which tends to move the bolt body in the direction toward the bolt head; and on the bolt head shaft and on the bolt body, there are means that produce a rotation of the bolt head when the bolt body is slid on the bolt head shaft.

FIRING PIN LOCK

A firing pin lock for firearms is provided. The firing pin lock is a single piece of resilient metal that includes a pocket for receiving the head of the firing pin to prevent inadvertent discharge of the firearm. The firing pin lock can be mounted laterally in the bolt carrier group and is deflected outwardly by the action of the hammer.

A configurable blowback bolt system is provided. Embodiments include a two-part configurable bolt assembly having a bolt carrier and a configurable bolt that allows for use with various calibers of ammunition, both rifle and pistol. The configurable bolt may also eject cartridges to the right or left side of the rifle by moving the extractor to one or the other side of the bolt. A buffer may be included as part of the configurable blowback bolt to shorten the stroke based on the caliber of ammunition being fired with the configurable blowback bolt system.

Firearms including a secured firing pin retaining pin, the firearms having a barrel, a sliding block, a bolt head, a firing pin with a flange-like collar, a firing pin retaining pin with a safety device, and a weapon median plane. For facilitating handling, it is provided that the firing pin retaining pin is slidably mounted normally to the weapon median plane in a retaining bore, that it is designed as one piece and to be rotationally symmetrical with a head and a pin end and has two annular grooves. A locking pin mounted in a spring-loaded manner in the sliding block is designed such that, depending on the position of the firing pin retaining pin in the retaining bore, it can optionally engage in one of the annular grooves, which correspond to a holding position and a release position for the firing pin, respectively.

A rotating gun bolt assembly includes a main body subassembly and a head subassembly. The main body subassembly including a helical receiving pocket. The head subassembly includes a head end and a rear end. The rear end of the head subassembly includes a helical tang extending from the rear end and mated with the helical receiving pocket in the main body subassembly. The helical tang includes a straight side, a distal edge and a helical side. The straight side extends perpendicular from the rear end of the head subassembly. The distal edge extends perpendicular to the straight side, where the distal edge is parallel with the rear end of the head subassembly. The helical side extends helically from the rear end of the head subassembly to the distal edge of the helical tang.

NON-METALLIC FIREARM BOLT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF
20220341685 · 2022-10-27 ·

A non-metallic sleeve device adapted for use with a firearm bolt. The non-metallic sleeve is generally durable, heat resistant, and generally nonmalleable. The bolt may be used on a bolt action, semiautomatic, or automatic firearm. There are two steel ends of the bolt each with an inner portion and an outer portion, said inner portion having a reduced diameter and screw threading thereon. A non-metallic tube, comprising a material such as carbon fiber, may be epoxied in position onto the screw threading. The result is reduced weight of the firearm bolt.
