Smoke device
A smoke device comprises a container, a base/base plate, a plate having at least one exit hole, a blend of chemicals contained in the container and a mechanical means by which generated smoke is prevented from directly exiting through the at least one exit hole without first being redirected in one or more directions. The mechanical means by which generated smoke is prevented from directly exiting through the at least one exit hole without first being redirected in one or more directions may include a plurality of baffles which have at least one hole therein and a plurality of chambers formed by the plurality of baffles. The plurality of baffles is placed in a staggered formation such that the hole(s) formed in each baffle is offset from the hole(s) in an adjacent/neighboring baffle.

Capsaicinoid smoke
A smoke producing method and device of the present disclosure produces a non-incendiary, organic-polymerization based, smoke-producing reaction. Some versions of the smoke are effective carriers for capsaicinoid compounds. The method of generating smoke comprises initiating a frontal polymerization reaction by heating a composition comprising a monomer compound that exothermically polymerizes upon initiation with an initiator compound and an initiator compound that initiates polymerization of the monomer compound present at a mass concentration that is at least five percent of the mass concentration of the monomer compound. The polymerization of the monomer compound is exothermic, and in one embodiment the concentration of initiator compound is at least five percent of the concentration of monomer compound. The smoke mainly comprises thermal decomposition products of the initiator compound.

Hand grenade for producing smoke
A hand grenade for producing smoke, having a housing provided with outflow openings for the smoke to be produced. The hand grenade also has a fuse head having an igniter for igniting the hand grenade and an ignition and delay line. An active charge can be ignited via the fuse head and the ignition and delay line, creating a carrier gas in the housing. An effect region is also provided in the hand grenade, by means of which at least one effect module of the hand grenade can be supplied. The effect module contains an active ingredient that can be converted into its gaseous state of aggregation by the action of heat and can flow out of the outflow openings with the carrier gas.

REMOTE DEPLOYED OBSCURATION SYSTEM
The invention is that of a remote deployed obscuration system useful in protecting law enforcement and military personnel, for example, against attack. The remote deployed obscuration system comprises an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) such as a drone of any suitable configuration that is equipped with an obscuration means such as one or more smoke grenades. The remote deployed obscuration system is capable of being guided from a remote location via remote-control means in communication with a remote-control receiver of the UAV, which may be used to control UAV flight patterns, actuate the obscuration means, release and reload the obscuration means, and communicate with other remote deployed obscuration systems on a concerted mission. The obscuration means may comprise a quick mount and release mechanism of heat-resistant material to enable remote reloading of grenades, for example, while protecting the UAV against heat discharged therefrom.

Dispenser module for aircraft pylon and a method for launching a countermeasure
A dispenser module for storing and launching countermeasures on an aircraft, comprising a magazine formed by a plurality of cartridges adapted to each hold a countermeasure where the dispenser module is adapted to be mounted in a side wall of an aircraft pylon structure, where the dispenser module comprises a spoiler and a hatch, where the magazine is mounted to the hatch, where the dispenser module is adapted to assume a first idle state in which the spoiler and the hatch are retracted to be flush with the side wall before a countermeasure has been launched, and where the dispenser module is adapted to at least assume a second active state in which the spoiler and the hatch extend outwards from the side wall when a countermeasure is to be launched, and where the dispenser module is adapted to retract to the idle state when a countermeasure has been launched.
MASKING MATERIAL AND USE OF THE MATERIAL TO MASK A TARGET AND AMMUNITION FOR DISSEMINATING SUCH MASKING MATERIAL
Disclosed is a masking material intended to be disseminated by an ammunition or a launcher to create a cloud that masks a target with respect to electromagnetic radiation in a given wavelengths range. This material contains at least one aluminium oxyhydroxide, such as boehmite or pseudoboehmite. Also disclosed is an ammunition enabling the dissemination of such masking material and the use of aluminium oxyhydroxide, such as boehmite or pseudoboehmite as a masking material that can be disseminated by an ammunition.
