In a valve apparatus, a housing includes a plurality of through holes through which a fluid flows. A first valve member opens and closes a first through hole. A second valve member opens and closes at least one second through hole. A fixed core does not move relative to the housing. A coil forms magnetic field. A first movable core moves integrally with the first valve member. When the coil forms the magnetic field, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the first movable core and the fixed core. A second movable core moves integrally with the second valve member. When the coil forms the magnetic field, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the second movable core and the fixed core. A magnetic constriction portion is provided between the fixed core and the first movable core. The second through hole is opened after the first through hole is opened.

FLUID VALVE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SUPPLY OF FLUID

A fluid valve which has a first valve assembly, having a valve needle, and an electromagnetic actuating device is disclosed. The electromagnetic actuating device has an armature, which is coupled to the valve needle, and a pole piece. The armature has on an armature stop side which is opposite the pole piece an armature stop surface, and the pole piece has on a pole piece stop side which is opposite the armature a pole piece stop surface. For advantageous refinement, it is proposed that the first valve assembly has a deformable first ring element and a deformable second ring element, wherein, in a view along the longitudinal central axis, an inner contour of the first ring element extends outside an outer contour of the second ring element. The invention also relates to a method for controlling the supply of fluid by means of a fluid valve according to the invention.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND METHOD FOR ITS OPERATION

A method for operating an internal combustion engine having at least two cylinders and having a single injector for central point injection of fuel into an air intake connected to the cylinders, wherein for each of the cylinders an injection quantity of the fuel and a starting time of the injection are specified and set as a function of the present engine load and the present engine speed. The invention further relates to such an internal combustion engine.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A METERING VALVE, AND METERING VALVE

The invention relates to a method for producing a metering valve (1) for a fluid, in particular for a liquid and/or gaseous fuel, comprising a preferably plate-shaped valve seat element (2) having at least one throughflow opening (3) for the liquid and/or gaseous fuel, a lift-movable valve disk (4) that sealingly interacts with the valve seat element (2) for releasing and closing the at least one throughflow opening (3), and a stroke stop element (5) having an annular stroke stop surface (6) for limiting the stroke of the valve disk (4). According to the invention, the stroke stop element (5) is axially pretensioned in the direction of a stroke adjustment ring (7) surrounding the valve disk (4). In order to finely adjust the stroke of the valve disk (4), the axial pretensioning force is altered, whereby the stroke stop element (5) is deformed. The invention further relates to a metering valve (1) for a fluid.

Gas valve

According to the invention, a damping device (5) is provided for reducing the speed of the armature (2) at least over a partial range of the stroke of the armature, which damping device comprises at least one fluid-filled variable damper volume (5.1, 5.2), which is separated in a gas-tight manner from a region (30) into which the gas to be metered in is admitted.

METHOD OF DETECTING A DOSER VALVE OPENING OR CLOSING EVENT
20200072113 · 2020-03-05 ·

A method of detecting a valve opening or closing event in a solenoid operated reductant injector valve includes applying a voltage to the solenoid to actuate the valve, the voltage having a chopped waveform. A resultant current through the solenoid is sampled at local maxima and minima. Values of a difference between the local maxima and subsequent local minima or between local minima and subsequent local maxima are determined. A rate of change of the difference values are determined and a valve opening or closing event based on the rate of change is determined.
