According to the invention, the compensation space (6) is arranged on the side of the closing element (4) facing the valve seat element (2) and is delimited in the axial direction by a pressure surface (10) which is formed on the closing element (4) or on a component connected to the closing element (4), in particular a flange component.
Gas Admission Valve and Fuel Gas Supply Assembly with Leakage Containment Flowpath
A fuel gas supply assembly for an internal combustion engine defines a leakage containment flowpath which includes a leakage containment space formed between the body of a gas admission valve and the wall defining the inner surface of a compartment formed in the cylinder head of the engine in which the gas admission valve is mounted. The gas admission valve is sealingly connected in fluid communication with the fuel gas conduit of a conduit assembly via a first aperture of the compartment so that both the fuel gas flowpath and the leakage containment space extend along and at least partially around a common portion of the length axis of the compartment. In another aspect, a gas admission valve includes an internal leakage containment flowpath formed by a leakage containment compartment which is interposed between the actuator and the fuel gas flowpath within the gas admission valve and sealingly connected to the leakage containment flowpath.
Solenoid valve for a fuel system
A solenoid valve for a fuel system has an electric coil and an armature disposed in a housing. A preassembled valve unit with valve seat, valve member, valve spring, and armature plate connected captively to each other is provided. In the valve unit, the valve seat is loosely secured between valve member and armature plate. The valve unit is inserted and secured in an open housing end and the valve spring contacts an inner shoulder of the housing. Armature plate and armature form a magnetic circuit. The valve member is supported on the armature plate and switched to open and close an outlet of the valve seat. By suppling current, a magnetic field is generated in the armature and attracts the armature plate into an operative valve position. The valve spring returns the armature plate into a rest position when the coil is currentless.
FLUID VALVE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SUPPLY OF FLUID
A fluid valve which has a first valve assembly, having a valve needle, and an electromagnetic actuating device is disclosed. The electromagnetic actuating device has an armature, which is coupled to the valve needle, and a pole piece. The armature has on an armature stop side which is opposite the pole piece an armature stop surface, and the pole piece has on a pole piece stop side which is opposite the armature a pole piece stop surface. For advantageous refinement, it is proposed that the first valve assembly has a deformable first ring element and a deformable second ring element, wherein, in a view along the longitudinal central axis, an inner contour of the first ring element extends outside an outer contour of the second ring element. The invention also relates to a method for controlling the supply of fluid by means of a fluid valve according to the invention.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A METERING VALVE, AND METERING VALVE
The invention relates to a method for producing a metering valve (1) for a fluid, in particular for a liquid and/or gaseous fuel, comprising a preferably plate-shaped valve seat element (2) having at least one throughflow opening (3) for the liquid and/or gaseous fuel, a lift-movable valve disk (4) that sealingly interacts with the valve seat element (2) for releasing and closing the at least one throughflow opening (3), and a stroke stop element (5) having an annular stroke stop surface (6) for limiting the stroke of the valve disk (4). According to the invention, the stroke stop element (5) is axially pretensioned in the direction of a stroke adjustment ring (7) surrounding the valve disk (4). In order to finely adjust the stroke of the valve disk (4), the axial pretensioning force is altered, whereby the stroke stop element (5) is deformed. The invention further relates to a metering valve (1) for a fluid.
Gas valve
The invention relates to a gas valve for metering a gaseous fuel into an intake tract of an internal combustion engine, comprising an electromagnet (1) for acting on an armature (2), which can be moved in a reciprocating manner and which is loaded in the direction of at least one valve seat (3) by the spring force of a spring (4). According to the invention, a damping device (5) is provided for reducing the speed of the armature (2) at least over a partial range of the stroke of the armature, which damping device comprises at least one fluid-filled variable damper volume (5.1, 5.2), which is separated in a gas-tight manner from a region (30) into which the gas to be metered in is admitted.
INJECTOR
An electromagnetically-driven injector may include a valve body of an on-off valve biased in a valve-closed direction by a coil spring, which is arranged in a stroking direction of the valve body, and at least one plate spring, which is provided at a right angle in the stroking direction of the valve body and arranged in such a manner as to support the valve body, and keeps a valve-closed state when energization is not provided. The at least one plate spring may include a plurality of plate springs arranged in the stroking direction of the valve body.
Metering plate for reduction in discharge coefficient variation between gaseous fuel injectors
Provided is a metering plate for a poppet-style valve in which the metering plate includes a peripheral edge structure that reduces the impact of edge variation as a result of typical manufacturing tolerances. The peripheral edge structure is located at the sealing surface and extends from the peripheral surface of the metering plate so as to avoid a sharp edge at the outer diameter of the metering plate. In embodiments, the peripheral edge structure is a chamfered surface or a curved surface. Small dimensional deviations from these surfaces resulting from typical manufacturing tolerances do not have a significant effect on the discharge coefficient of the metering plate. In this way, the discharge coefficients of poppet-style valves across a fluid admission system are contained in a much tighter range, thereby enhancing the efficiency of and control over the fluid admission system.
Low pressure natural gas direct injection fuel injector assembly
A fuel injector assembly is adapted to inject a compressed fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The compressed fuel is stored in a fuel storage tank at a fuel storage pressure and delivered to the fuel injector assembly through a fuel supply line at a fuel supply pressure. The fuel supply pressure is lower than the fuel storage pressure. The fuel injector assembly includes a fuel injector and an adapter valve. The fuel injector injects the compressed gas fuel. The adapter valve is positioned between the fuel injector and the combustion chamber. The adapter valve allows the compressed gas fuel injected by the fuel injector to be discharged from an outlet of the adapter valve into the combustion chamber in an injection direction while preventing blowback gas entering the outlet from passing through the adapter valve in an ingress direction opposite the injection direction.
Gas metering valve for a dual fuel engine
The invention relates to a gas metering valve (1) for a dual fuel engine (17), which has a displaceable closing body (6) which, in a position of resting against a valve seat (5), closes the gas metering valve (1) and, in a position of being lifted off from the valve seat (5), opens the gas metering valve (1). The gas metering valve (1) is actuatable in a gas operating mode, in which the gas metering valve (1) meters combustion gas via a gas channel (13) into an intake manifold (15) of the dual fuel engine (17), and in a liquid fuel operating mode, in which the gas metering valve (1) remains sealingly closed against the pressure prevalent in the intake manifold (15). The valve seat (5) is movably situated along a valve seat guide (4), the valve seat (5), owing to the combustion gas pressure in the gas channel (13), in the gas operating mode being pressed away from the closing body (6) against a stop (20) in the gas metering valve (1) and is kept in its operating position, and the valve seat (5) in the liquid fuel operating mode being sealingly pressed by the pressure from the intake manifold (15) against the closing body (6).
