The movable core has a first core contact surface which contacts the valve body when the movable core is moved by a predetermined distance away from a nozzle hole, and a second core contact surface which contacts the cup when the movable core is moved away from the nozzle hole. The movable core, the cup and the valve body form a fuel storage chamber which is surrounded by the movable core, the cup and the valve body to accumulate fuel. The first core contact surface is located inside the fuel storage chamber. The first core contact surface and the second core contact surface have a communication groove through which the inside and the outside of the fuel storage chamber communicate with each other.
Spark-ignition direct fuel injection valve
A spark-ignition direct fuel injection valve includes, at least, a seat member provided with a fuel injection hole and a valve seat and a valve body which controls fuel injection from the injection hole by contacting and separating from the valve seat. In the spark-ignition direct fuel injection valve: the injection hole has an injection hole inlet which is open inwardly of the seat member and an injection hole outlet which is open outwardly of the seat member; an opening edge of the injection hole inlet has a first round-chamfered portion formed on an upstream side with respect to a fuel flow toward the injection hole inlet; and an extending length (L) of the injection hole does not exceed three times a hole diameter (D) of the injection hole.
Drive device for fuel injection device
An object of the invention is to provide a drive device of a fuel injection device which can increase the accuracy in an injected fuel injection amount by combining the fuel injections from a plurality of injection pulse widths. In the drive device of the fuel injection device which has a function of driving the fuel injection device such that the fuel injection is performed plural times in one combustion cycle, the fuel injection device is driven such that a fuel injection at a target opening level in which a valve element or a movable element of the fuel injection device reaches a regulation member and a fuel injection at an intermediate opening level in which the valve element does not reach the regulation member are included in the plural times of division injections performed in one combustion cycle.
Optimum current drive for a actuator control
A method for operating an electromagnetic actuator includes an actuation event utilizing a current waveform for the actuator characterized by an initial peak pull-in current in a first direction of current flow when the actuator is commanded to an actuated position; and a reversed peak current in a second opposite direction of current flow applied after the actuator is commanded to a rest position. The reversed peak current has a magnitude that is greater than the magnitude of the initial peak pull-in current.
Fuel injection valve with a weld ring
The present disclosure relates to internal combustion engines. Various embodiments thereof may include a fuel injection valve for a combustion engine comprising: a valve body with a cavity; a valve needle movable in the cavity; an actuator assembly to actuate the valve needle. The actuator assembly includes an electro-magnetic coil, a pole piece positioned inside the cavity, and an armature element. The armature element moves within the cavity to move the valve needle in a predetermined direction. A fixing ring abutting the pole piece, fixed to the valve body by means of joining to a circumferential surface of the cavity.
Valve assembly for an injection valve and injection valve
A valve assembly for an injection valve includes a valve body having a central longitudinal axis and a cavity with a fluid inlet portion and a fluid outlet portion, a valve needle axially movable in the cavity to prevent a fluid flow through the fluid outlet portion in a closing position and to allow fluid flow through the fluid outlet portion in further positions, and a guiding device arranged in the cavity and configured to guide the valve needle relative to the valve body. The guiding device has a first guide element fixedly coupled to the valve body and a second guide element fixedly coupled to the valve needle. The first guide element includes a magnetic material with a first magnetic field and the second guide element includes a magnetic material with a second magnetic field, the first and second magnetic fields being orientated in opposite directions.
