A fuel supply valve for a slurry fuel injector valve comprises a fuel inlet in fluid communication with a slurry fuel reservoir. A fuel outlet is in fluid communication with a nozzle of the fuel injector valve. A pump chamber port is in fluid communication with a pump chamber of the fuel injector valve. A valve gate is moveable between a first position wherein the fuel inlet is in fluid communication along a first slurry fuel flow path with the pump chamber port and a second position wherein the fuel outlet is in fluid communication along a second slurry fuel flow path with the pump chamber port. Wherein the valve gate is arranged to not substantially exert a force opposing a flow on the slurry fuel into the valve chamber when the valve gate moves between the second position and the first position and/or between the first position and the second position.

INJECTOR COMPONENT HAVING A COATING, INJECTOR, AS WELL AS A DEVICE FOR COATING

An injector component of an injector for introducing a fluid is described as including a base body, a coating on at least one first end face of the base body, the coating having a maximum, which lies on an outer half of the base body, and an outer lateral surface of the base body does not have any coating.

Fuel injector

In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in a fuel injector that includes an upper housing portion that defines an inlet passage adapted to receive fuel, and a lower housing portion that is attached to the upper housing portion and that defines an injector outlet adapted to dispense fuel. The fuel injector includes an electromagnetic coil assembly that is user removable while the upper housing portion remains attached to the lower housing portion. The fuel injector includes a movable pintle that is biased to a closed position that is adapted to prevent fuel from flowing through the injector outlet, and movable, responsive to magnetic force produced by energizing the electromagnetic coil assembly, to an open position that is adapted to permit fuel to flow through the injector outlet.

This fuel injection valve is provided with a needle having a valve body (27c) and a rod part (27b) of which one end is bonded by welding to the valve body (27c). A contact portion (81) between the rod part (27b) and the valve body (27c) is disposed nearer to a valve shaft center (27x) than is a weld-penetration portion (80) created by the weld-bonding of the rod part (27b) and the valve body (27c), and a non-welded portion (82) is provided between the contact portion (81) and the weld-penetration portion (80).

A fuel injection valve includes: a housing that includes an injection hole and a valve seat; a needle that includes a flange at a radially outer side of the needle and opens or closes the injection hole; a movable core that is installed on the valve seat side of the flange; a first spring that urges the needle toward the valve seat side; a second spring that urges the movable core toward an opposite side, which is opposite from the valve seat; and a limiting member that is installed on a radially outer side of the needle such that the limiting member enables movement of the movable core between the limiting member and the flange on the valve seat side of the flange. The limiting member includes an outside projection, which supports the second spring; and a tubular portion and an inside projection, which are contactable with the movable core.

METHOD TO DETERMINE AN OPENING TIME OF AN ELECTROMAGNETIC FUEL INJECTOR

Method to determine an opening time of an electromagnetic fuel injector; the electromagnetic fuel injector is controlled using a series of progressively increasing energization times of the electromagnetic actuator; for each control of the electromagnetic injector, the presence or the absence of a closing of the injection valve is detected; the opening time is identified, which is equal to an intermediate value between the last energization time of the electromagnetic actuator for which the absence of a closing of the injection valve was determined and the first energization time of the electromagnetic actuator for which the presence of a closing of the injection valve was determined.

FUEL INJECTION VALVE

A fuel injection valve includes: a circular plate portion that is abuttable against an end surface of a needle opposite from a valve seat while the needle being provided to open and close an injection hole upon lifting and seating of the needle relative to the valve seat; and a tubular portion that extends from the circular plate portion toward the valve seat and has an end part, which is opposite from the circular plate portion and is abuttable against a movable core second contact surface of a movable core opposite from the valve seat. In a state where the circular plate portion abuts against the needle, and the tubular portion abuts against the movable core, a gap is formed between a flange member end surface of a flange of the needle and a movable core first contact surface of the movable core opposite from the valve seat.

VALVE FOR METERING A FLUID

A valve for metering a fluid is described, which is used, in particular, as a fuel injector for internal combustion engines, including an electromagnetic actuator and a valve needle actuatable by the actuator, an armature of the actuator being guided on valve needle, a stop element which limits a movement of the armature relative to the valve needle being situated on the valve needle, and the armature including a spring receptacle which is open toward the stop element and in which a spring supported on the stop element is inserted. The valve needle is guided via the armature and/or the stop element along a longitudinal axis of a housing. Furthermore, as viewed along the longitudinal axis, a length of the spring receptacle is smaller than a spring length of the spring in the non-actuated initial state.
