Self-propelled buoyant energy converter and method for deploying same

Disclosed is a novel method, process, and system (hereinafter method or process) for deploying, stationing, and translocating buoyant wind- and wave-energy converters and/or other buoyant structures or devices, as well as farms of same. Also disclosed is a novel apparatus and/or machine comprising a farm of buoyant wave energy converters deployed by said method and/or configured to be deployed by said method.

Wave energy plant

The invention relates to a system that includes a wave energy converter and an assembly, adapted to be driven by the wave energy converter. The wave energy converter includes an array, in the form of rows and columns, of floating elements adapted to float on a sea surface in the vicinity of a shore. Each floating element has a first and a second end, each end being connected to a lever, the lever being connected through a bearing to a pivot point. Each lever is connected in an articulated manner to a piston rod in a wave-actuated liquid pump, that is in fluid communication with the pipe, adapted to lead a liquid to a workstation, wherein the workstation includes the assembly.

A wave power generator device that is designed specifically to generate electrical power from water currents. To accomplish this, the device includes multiple generator assemblies connected in series along an ocean shoreline. More specifically, each wave power generator includes a floating head and multiple flex points. A plurality of bidirectional rotary generators positioned at each flex point of each assembly helps in harvesting electricity from the oceans water currents that flow in different directions. The device further includes a support structure that provides solid support to the anchoring system of the device in the ocean bed. Furthermore, at least one signaling device such as buoys, LED lights, etc. float around the power generation assemblies on top of the water surface to signal the presence of the device under water, and thereby prevent boats and other near shore elements that may come in the path of the present invention.
