DOWN-HOLE MOTOR UNIVERSAL JOINT ASSEMBLY

A universal joint (U-joint) assembly transmits torque from a drive component to a driven component across an articulating joint. The U-joint assembly includes male and female U-joint members, a central ball joint, and a retaining device configured to secure the assembly in an assembled configuration. The female U-joint member includes a cavity extending into a receptacle end thereof. The cavity terminates in a circular receptacle and includes a plurality of rectangular channels extending radially outward from the cavity at equal intervals, each channel defined by three planar drive surfaces. The male U-joint member has a drive end with a plurality of corresponding rectangular extensions protruding from an outer periphery of the drive end, each extension including a plurality of axial angular surfaces. When assembled, each of the angular surfaces of the drive end opposes a corresponding one of the drive surfaces of the cavity. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

The present invention relates to a Moineau pump-type quantitative liquid-discharging apparatus including a stator in which a slot hole is formed, a main shaft including a first shaft part and a second shaft part, which are eccentric with respect to each other, and a rotor which extends from the first shaft part and is inserted into the slot hole, first and second slide bearings to which the first shaft part and the second shaft part are rotatably coupled, respectively, and first and second sliders which guide the first and second slide bearings to move in directions to cross each other, wherein the movement directions of the first and second slide bearings are perpendicular to an extension direction of the rotor.

Downhole force generating tool

The disclosure of this application is directed to a downhole tool comprising a central element/member and a sleeve that is rotatably and orbitally disposed around the central element/member. The sleeve rotates and orbits around the central element/member responsive to fluid flowing through the downhole tool. The disclosure is also related to a method of advancing the downhole tool in a well by flowing fluid through the tool.

An electric submersible progressive cavity pump assembly is disclosed, which includes an electric motor, a progressive cavity pump, a transmission rotatable by the motor, and a torque isolator coupled between the transmission and the progressive cavity pump, where the torque isolator includes resilient members which accommodate sudden changes in torque.

Coatings for fluid energy device components

A coated component for use in a fluid energy device includes a coating system with multiple layers of coating material, including a soft material such as a polymer coated over a hard material such as a metal. The fluid energy device can be a fluid motor or fluid pump, and the coated component can be a rotor or a stator. The hard and soft materials may be interlocked with each other and/or with an interposed porous layer. The presence of the soft material can reduce or eliminate the need for meticulous polishing operations typically required with as-applied hard materials while improving the longevity of mating fluid energy device components. The mating components are exposed only to the soft material in the initial stages of operation, after which the soft material wears away to gradually expose the mating components to the hard material in a less abrasive manner.

A uniaxial eccentric screw pump includes: a stator 8 having a through hole 8a whose inner surface is formed in a female screw shape; a rotor 14 that is a male screw shaft body inserted into the through hole 8a of the stator 8; a plurality of shims 9 that are arranged on a radially outside of the stator 8 in a range from one end to the other end of the stator 8, are in surface contact with an outer surface of the stator 8, are capable of compressing the stator 8 by moving radially inward with respect to the stator 8, and have, on an outer surface, an inclined surface 18 gradually inclined radially inward or outward toward one end; and an adjustment member 10 that is movable in an axial direction with respect to the stator 8 and has a pressing part 26 that can press the inclined surface 18 of each of the shims 9.

PIN COUPLING FOR CONNECTING A ROTARY DRIVE TO A PROGRESSIVE-CAVITY PUMP
20240117844 · 2024-04-11 ·

A drive having a rotary output and a pump having a rotary input are interconnected by a pin coupling that has an inner coupling head having a part-spherical outer surface and an outer coupling head having a socket. A thrust plate in the socket is formed with a part-spherical inner surface complementary to the outer surface and into which the inner coupling head is inserted with the surfaces in surface contact for transmission of axial forces. A pin extending transversely through the heads rotationally interconnects the pump input and drive output while permitting relative angular displacement of the input and output.

ECCENTRIC SCREW PUMP

What is concerned is an eccentric screw pump having at least one stator (1), a rotor (2) rotating in the stator, a drive (3) for the rotor, a pump housing (4) which is connected to the stator (1) and has at least one inlet opening (6) for the medium to be conveyed, a connection housing (14) arranged between the pump housing (4) and drive (3), a connection shaft (9) which is connected to the drive (3) and is arranged at least in certain regions in the connection housing (14), and a coupling rod (10) which is arranged in the pump housing (4) and is connected to the connection shaft (9) via a drive-side joint (11) and to the rotor (2) via a rotor-side joint (12). The drive-side housing connection piece (16) can be demounted in such a way that the drive-side joint (11) can be exposed for maintenance or demounting.
