Scroll compressor including a first and a second axial stabilizing arrangement
The scroll compressor includes a fixed scroll (8) having a fixed end plate (11) and a fixed spiral wrap (12) extending from the fixed end plate (11); an orbiting scroll (9) having an orbiting base plate (14) and an orbiting spiral wrap (15) extending from a first face of the orbiting base plate (14), the orbiting spiral wrap (15) of the orbiting scroll (9) meshing with the fixed spiral wrap (12) of the fixed scroll (8) to form compression chambers (18), the orbiting base plate (14) having a flange portion (16) radially extending on at least part of the circumference of the orbiting base plate (14) and beyond an outer wall surface of the orbiting spiral wrap (15); and a first and a second axial stabilizing arrangement (29, 31) configured to axially stabilize the orbiting scroll (9), the first axial stabilizing arrangement (29) being formed between the flange portion (16) of the orbiting base plate (14) and the fixed scroll (8), and the second axial stabilizing arrangement (31) being formed between a portion of the orbiting spiral wrap (15) of the orbiting scroll (9) and the fixed end plate (11) of the fixed scroll (8).
Multi-stage scroll vacuum pumps and related scroll devices
A multi-stage vacuum pump, expander, or compressor, that incorporates one or more stages of a fixed scroll(s) and orbiting scroll(s) that operates simultaneously. The motor drives the orbiting scroll(s) within the structure, and the various fixed and orbiting scrolls are arranged for either parallel generation of a vacuum or high pressure gas, or arranged in series for generating of a significantly high vacuum or gaseous pressure, or a combination of parallel arranged and series arranged fixed and orbiting scrolls may be embodied within the structure, operated by a single motor means, in order to attain the high efficiencies of operation as a vacuum pump, or a gaseous compressor, during its functioning. The various combinations of orbiting and fixed scrolls, when arranged as aforesaid, can be reduced in size, or miniaturized, and used in conjunction with small appliances, or even in hand-held instruments, as for example, for use in conducting mass spectrometry, or for other purposes. The actual structure of the multi-stage devices can include the fixed and orbiting scrolls adjacent the motor, or the singular motor may be located intermediate various stages of the formed vacuum pump/compressor, in its assembly.
TIP SEAL AND SCROLL FLUID MACHINE USING SAME
Provided is a tip seal that makes it possible to improve the durability of a tip seal installed on the tooth tip of a wall even when a continuously inclined section is provided to the wall. The tip seal is provided with: a tip seal inclined section (7A) installed in a groove section of a wall in which the height changes continuously in a spiral direction; and a tip seal flat section (7B) that is installed in a groove section of the wall in which the height is fixed in the spiral direction and that is adjacent to the tip seal inclined section (7A). A recess (8) is formed at a position away from the adjacent area between the tip seal inclined section (7A) and the tip seal flat section (7B).
Scroll fluid machine and tip seal
The present invention improves performance of a scroll fluid machine by effectively exhibiting a function of a tip seal installed at a tooth tip of a wall body even when a continuous slope is provided to the wall body. A slope in which the distance between opposing surfaces of opposing end plates continuously reduces from the outer peripheral surface toward the inner peripheral surface is provided, and a tip seal (7) that comes into contact with an opposing tooth bottom so as to seal a fluid is provided to a tip seal groove (3d) formed at a tooth tip of a wall body (3b) corresponding to the slope. A groove bottom (3d1) of the tip seal groove (3d) is formed into a shape in which the center portion (3d2) in the groove width direction deepest. The tip seal (7) is formed such that the center portion (7a1), in the width direction, of the bottom (7a) of the tip seal (7) facing the groove bottom (3d1) projects farther than both side portions (7a2).
Scroll fluid machine including first and second scroll members
Provided is a scroll fluid machine which can appropriately set a tip clearance between a tooth base and a tooth crest having an inclined portion and can achieve desired performance. An inclined portion in which a distance between opposing surfaces of an end plate of a fixed scroll and an end plate of an orbiting scroll facing each other gradually decreases from an outer peripheral side toward an inner peripheral side is provided. A tip clearance between a tooth crest of a wall of the orbiting scroll and a tooth base of the end plate of the fixed scroll facing the tooth crest at normal temperature is greater on the inner peripheral side than on the outer peripheral side.
Scroll fluid machine, and method for processing scroll member
Provided is a scroll fluid machine which is capable of inhibiting contact between tooth tip corners and tooth bottom corners. The present invention is provided with: a wall inclined portion (3b1) of which a facing surface has a distance to an end plate which continuously decreases from the outer circumferential side to the inner circumferential side; and an end plate inclined portion (5a1). Chamfered portions (8a) are provided to tooth tip corners (8) of a tooth tip of a wall (3b) which face tooth bottom corners (9) of bases of mating walls (5b). The chamfered portions (8a) have a shape which avoids contact with step parts (9a) which are formed at the tooth bottom, and which are adjacent to the tooth bottom corners (9).

Provided is a scroll fluid machine capable of effectively achieving performance of a tip seal installed in a tooth crest of a wall including an inclined portion. The inclined portion in which a distance between opposing surfaces of end plates facing each other gradually decreases from an outer peripheral side toward an inner peripheral side is provided. A tip seal (7) configured to make contact with a tooth base facing the tip seal (7) to perform sealing against fluid is provided in tip seal groove (3d) formed in a tooth crest of a wall (3b) corresponding to the inclined portion. In a stop state where a scroll (3) does not perform compression of fluid, an inclination height (Ls′) of the tip seal (7) is smaller than an inclination height (Ls) of the wall (3b).
