An EC motor contains a rotor, a stator, a shaft, a bearing system and an intermediate element connecting the stator to the shaft. The rotor includes a rotor case and one or more permanent magnets, and it is supported, by the bearing system, so as to be rotatable about the shaft. The stator is at least partially arranged, by means of the intermediate element, in a radially outer circumference of the bearing system. Ideally, a fan contains such an EC motor and a fan wheel connected to the rotor case of the rotor of the EC motor. Moreover, a household appliance contains an EC motor or a fan including the EC motor.

One of the at least two magnetic components disposed on decorative plate and another one of the at least two magnetic components disposed on stator assembly are attracted to each other so that decorative plate is stationary while fan rotating assembly rotates.

The rotor has a rotating shaft disposed within the accommodation space, and the rotating shaft has an outer wall. An annular groove is formed on the outer wall and has a surface. The position limiting element is disposed on the sleeve and extended from the side wall toward the rotating shaft, and the position limiting element has a bottom surface. The bottom surface faces toward the bottom portion, and the bottom surface is interfered with the surface, thereby eliminating the gap between the bottom surface and the surface. Therefore, noise of the up and down vibration is avoided from generating.
