ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF OPERATING THE SAME
An electro-hydraulic actuator system includes a fixed-displacement hydraulic pump and a variable speed electric motor configured in combination to constitute an individual electro-hydraulic unit that is coupled to an actuator, and a bypass valve in parallel to the actuator. The system is configured to enable the actuator to be operated at actuation speeds that are higher than a maximum actuation capability of the pump at the maximum flow capability thereof, and at actuation speeds that are lower than a minimum actuation capability of the pump at the minimum flow capability thereof. The actuation velocity of the actuator may be controlled by controlling the speed of the electro-hydraulic unit and a size of an opening of the bypass valve.
ELECTROHYDRAULIC ACTUATOR
A modular electrohydraulic actuator including an electric motor, a hydraulic pump driven by the electric motor, and a hydraulic actuator in fluid communication with the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic actuator includes a hydraulic cylinder supporting a pressure sleeve in which a piston and rod is adapted for reciprocating motion in response to a supply of pressurized fluid to a first side or a second side of the piston, wherein at least one of the electric motor, hydraulic pump, hydraulic cylinder, piston, piston rod or the pressure sleeve supported in the hydraulic cylinder is selectively removable and replaceable with a different component to vary at least one performance characteristic of the electrohydraulic actuator.
FLUID VALVE AND OPENING MOTION PROMOTING DEVICE
A fluid valve has a valve plug configured as follows. In order to control a flow rate of a fluid between a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber, the valve plug is provided so as to be openable and closable in accordance with a difference between forces generated by pressures in the pressure chambers and resilience of an elastic member. The fluid valve includes an opening motion promoting portion. The opening motion promoting portion promotes an increase in degree of opening of the valve plug after the valve plug has been opened.
Hydraulic drive system of construction machine
A bi-directional pump connected to a motor by a pair of supply/discharge lines; a regulator changes the bi-directional pump tilting angle; and a controller controls the regulator based on a turning signal outputted from a turning operation valve. At the turning acceleration, at which the signal increases, the controller calculates a motor flow rate passing through the motor and an instruction flow rate determined based on the turning signal. If the instruction flow rate is greater than a reference flow rate obtained by adding a predetermined value to the motor flow rate, the controller controls the regulator so the bi-directional pump tilting angle is adjusted to a tilting angle realizing the reference flow rate. If the instruction flow rate is not greater than the reference flow rate, the controller controls the regulator so the bi-directional pump tilting angle is adjusted to a tilting angle realizing the instruction flow rate.
OFFSHORE CRANE HEAVE COMPENSATION CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD USING VISUAL RANGING
Provided is an offshore crane heave compensation control system and method using video rangefinding to achieve heave compensation in a directly driven pump-controlled electro-hydraulic heave compensator. The heave compensation and the heave compensator are applicable for special operation and control requirements on a fixed offshore platform and allow the crane to achieve steady lifting of a load away from or lowering of a load on to a supply vessel without being influenced by the motion of the supply vessel caused by ocean currents, ocean winds, or ocean waves. Also provided is a test platform for the offshore crane heave compensation control system using video rangefinding. The test platform provides a realistic simulation for all lifting and lowering processes of an offshore platform crane in offshore environments to study the motion control of the provided system.
Hydraulic circuit including hydraulic decompression energy reclamation
A hydraulic circuit includes a prime mover that is configured to generate an oscillating flow of hydraulic fluid, and an actuator that is driven by the prime mover and configured to provide oscillating motion and to be connected to a load in each direction of the motion. The hydraulic circuit also includes a reclamation device that is disposed in the hydraulic circuit between the prime mover and the actuator. The reclamation device captures and stores a portion of hydraulic fluid displaced from the actuator during a transition between opposed motions, where the portion of hydraulic fluid corresponds to an amount of hydraulic fluid equal to a volume of fluid required to compensate for compression of fluid within the hydraulic circuit due to system pressure and load pressure. The stored fluid is used by the circuit in a subsequent motion.
PRESSURE LIMITING DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A HYDRAULIC ASSIST SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES
The invention relates to a pressure-limiting device designed to be installed in a system comprising a first line (11) and a second line (12) that can comprise pressurised oil, as well as comprising a discharge and/or booster line (10). The limiting device is characterised in that it comprises means (131, 132, 133, 134) forming two valves, each associated with one of the two lines and adapted to open in the event of an overpressure above a pre-determined threshold on the associated line, so as to discharge the corresponding overpressure towards the discharge and/or booster line, said two valves comprising a common support stem (126) that operates in traction under the action of at least one spring defining a pressure corresponding to the pre-determined threshold. The invention also relates to a hydraulic assist system and to a vehicle comprising such a device.
PRESSURE LIMITING DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR FOR AN ASSIST SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES
The invention relates to a pressure-limiting device designed to be installed in a system comprising a first line (11) and a second line (12) that can comprise pressurised oil, as well as comprising a discharge and/or booster line (10). The device also comprises a pressure selector (130, 150) in the form of a cage defining two seats (132, 134) and two pressure relief valves (160, 180). The limiting device is characterised in that it further comprises at least one means (170, 172; 190, 192) for regulating a pressure relief valve, disposed on the outside of an axial end of the pressure selector (150), in the form of a cage that allows the loading of the associated pressure relief valve to be regulated.
Pilot operated blow-off valves for hydraulic actuators
Disclosed herein are various embodiments of a hydraulic actuator that includes one or more check valves having a dynamically varying cracking pressure. In certain embodiments, a hydraulic actuator may be configured to vary the cracking pressure of a check valve based on an operating condition of a pump of the hydraulic actuator. The check valve may be located along a bypass path in the hydraulic actuator, thereby allowing for fluid flow to bypass a pump of the hydraulic actuator by passing through the check valve. The use of such hydraulic actuators is contemplated in, for example, an active suspension system of a vehicle. Additionally, various embodiments of suitable check valves are disclosed. Additionally, methods are disclosed for operation of the check valve and the hydraulic actuator.
