At least one pair of counter-acting metering edges operationally tied together by a stem movable within central bore in an axial direction a pilot force. Each metering edge of each counter-acting pair comprises a mating seat surface (PS1,PS2,PS3,PS4) on the valve body or the stem, and a poppet ring (PR1,PR2, PR3,PR4) supported by a flexible element (SD1,SD2,SD3,SD4) to the valve body or the stem in a manner allowing a relative axial movement of the poppet ring and the supporting valve body or stem also in a closed state of the respective metering edge.
Linear actuator assembly and system
A linear actuator system includes a linear actuator and at least one integrated pump assembly connected to the linear actuator to provide fluid to operate the linear actuator. The integrated pump assembly includes a pump with at least one fluid driver comprising a prime mover and a fluid displacement assembly to be driven by the prime mover such that fluid is transferred from a first port of the pump to a second port of the pump. The pump assembly also includes two valve assembles to isolate the pump from the system. The linear actuator system also includes a controller that establishes at least one of a speed and a torque of the at least one prime mover to exclusively adjust at least one of a flow and a pressure in the linear actuator system to an operational set point.
Electro hydrostatic actuator
An electro hydrostatic actuator comprising a hydraulic pump driven by an electric motor to supply hydraulic fluid to a hydraulic actuator, the pump comprising an inlet and an outlet for the hydraulic fluid and an active flow path configured therebetween such that, in an active mode of operation when the pump is driven by the electric motor, hydraulic fluid is actively drawn in through the inlet and exhausted out through the outlet. The pump further comprises a bypass flow path configured to open between the inlet and outlet such that, in a damping mode of operation when the pump is not driven by the electric motor, hydraulic fluid is able to pass through the pump along the bypass flow path between the inlet and outlet. The hydraulic pump is a rotary piston pump comprising a pump barrel driven to rotate by a motor shaft.
APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING A HYDRAULIC MACHINE
An apparatus for controlling a hydraulic machine, for example a turbine, pump or pump turbine, using variable-speed driven fixed displacement pumps. The apparatus includes a device for carrying out an emergency shut-off that is characterized by low energy consumption and high efficiency while guaranteeing all the operation-relevant and safety-relevant requirements of a hydraulic machine.
Safe-to-operate hydraulic drive
A safe hydraulic drive system and process, comprising at least one first cylinder chamber and a second, separate cylinder chamber which are connected to one another via a connecting line to form a fluid-filled hydraulic circuit, and a hydraulic drive for conveying the fluid from one cylinder chamber, via the connecting line, into the other cylinder chamber in which the connecting line is arranged. The connecting line has at least one parallel system, between the hydraulic drive and one of the two cylinder chambers, including at least one first sub-connection with at least one first stop valve and a second sub-connection with a baffle arranged therein. The connecting line, excluding the second sub-connection, has a first flow resistance and the second sub-connection has a second flow resistance due to the baffle arranged therein, which is greater than the first flow resistance for the fluid, wherein the drive system is provided with at least one open first stop valve in normal mode and with a closed first stop valve in safe mode for conveying the fluid, and a suitably high second flow resistance has been selected so that a maximum permissible speed for a piston rod is not exceeded in safe mode, even when an external force acts on the drive system in the direction of movement of the piston rod.
Fouling prevention system for submerged hydraulic cylinders
A system for preventing fouling of submerged hydraulic cylinder actuators includes a pneumatic line communicably connected to a protective bellows element surrounding the cylinder rod of the actuator mechanism. As the cylinder rod extends from the cylinder housing of the mechanism and the bellows element expands, filtered air is drawn into the bellows element. Water and accompanying contaminants are prevented from entering the bellows and interfering with operation of the hydraulic actuator mechanism.
HYDRAULIC STAGE
A hydraulic stage includes a hydraulic element located between and sealing a first and second chamber, wherein the first chamber comprises at least one aperture through which fluid is arranged to flow into or out of the first chamber; and at least one piezoelectric element which is positioned adjacent to the at least one aperture and is arranged to deform in response to an applied potential difference such that it blocks or obstructs the at least one aperture to a varying degree according to the level of deformation, so as to control fluid flow into or out of the first chamber. The level of deformation of the piezoelectric element thus reduces or increases an effective size of the inlet or outlet aperture to which it is adjacent, restricting or permitting an increase in fluid flow accordingly.
LINEAR ACTUATOR
The invention generally relates a linear or roto-linear actuator comprising a combination of electrical and hydraulic actuator components for providing a combined electric and hydraulic-driving force.
Hydraulic drawing cushion of a drawing press and method of operating the hydraulic cushion
A hydraulic drawing cushion (17) for a drawing press (10) includes at least one hydraulic cylinder (21) comprising a piston rod (27) that causes a total force (G) to act on the metal sheet holding ring (20). The hydraulic cylinder (21) comprises a hydraulic work circuit (37) to generate a hydraulic work force (A) in a work direction (Z) to act on a ring part (28) to which a force can be applied on both sides. Independently, a spring force (F) acts on the piston (26). The spring force (F) is neither controlled nor adjusted, but is preset. Preferably, the spring force (F) is exclusively a function of the position or location of the piston (26) relative to the cylinder housing (25). The total force (G) acting on the piston (26) results from the addition of the vectors of the work force (A) and the spring force (F).
Piston unit of a working cylinder
A piston unit of a working cylinder includes a piston and a piston rod. The piston has an axial bore hole formed therein. The piston rod is received in the axial bore hole. The piston rod and the piston are connected by a material-bond by a circumferential laser ring weld seam. The laser ring weld seam defines a pressure medium-tight sealing plane.
