Structural fastener
A U-shaped band to attach or snap a conduit or pipe to a slotted structural member. The U-shaped band includes a bottom portion, a first side having a first arm connected to the bottom portion; a second side having a second arm connected to the bottom portion thereby forming a U-shaped structure with the first and second sides. The at least one arm snaps into a slot of the slotted structural member when in an engaged position. The slotted structural member may be a strut or a receiver. The receiver has arms to engage and snap into curled ends or lips on sides of the strut and thus may adapt the band to the strut. Alternatively, the band may snap into suitably sized slots on the slotted structural member.
Single side access sheet metal nut
A sheet metal nut includes a base having a flat planar surface. The sheet metal nut also has a sleeve that extends below the base and includes an inner surface. The sheet metal nut further includes at least two front flanges and at least one rear flange. The at least two front flanges are positioned on an edge of the base and extend to a position directly above the flat planar surface of the base. The at least one rear flange extends away from a rear surface of the base. The sheet metal nut is configured to securely fasten to a bottom side of a component through a single aperture when the bottom side of the component is restricted or inaccessible.
HOLDER FOR INSERT AND ASSEMBLY INCLUDING THE HOLDER AND INSERT
A holder for an insert includes a first housing configured to receive the insert. The first housing extends within a plane of the holder. The holder further includes an opening configured for inserting the insert into the first housing in a direction substantially perpendicularly to the plane and a second housing configured to receive the insert, the second housing being in communication with the first housing. The second housing extends within the plane of the holder and is configured to prevent movement of the insert out of the holder in a direction perpendicular to the plane.
Dual material U-base fastener
A u-shaped metal portion and a u-shaped plastic portion can be coupled together to define an interior rib receiving cavity between both the metal sides and the plastic sides. The u-shaped metal portion can include a first metal rib retention barb extending interiorly of the plastic portion in the interior rib receiving cavity and can be designed to engage the rib to couple the dual material U-base fastener to a first component rib with the rib received within the interior rib receiving cavity. The u-shaped plastic portion can include a first plastic aperture retention wing extending exteriorly of the metal portion and designed to engage a second component aperture to couple the dual material U-base fastener to the aperture with the inner plastic and outer metal insertion ends extending through the aperture.
HANGER FOR MOUNTING CABLES
A cable hanger includes: a base panel having opposed ends; a pair of arms, each of the arms attached to a respective end of the base panel and having a free end; a pair of locking projections, each of the locking projections attached to a respective free end of the arms; and a pair of gripping members, each gripping member attached to a respective arm, each gripping member having opposed ends, wherein one of the ends of each gripping member is fixed to the arms and the other of the ends of each gripping member is fixed to the arm or to the base panel. The arms and locking projections are configured to spread apart to enable insertion of a cable between the arms, wherein the gripping projections engage and grip the cable, and wherein the locking projections are configured to be inserted into the aperture of the supporting structure.
SPRING DEVICE FOR SECURING A THREADED FASTENER OF A BOLTED JOINT AND A SYSTEM FOR SECURING A BOLTED JOINT
A spring device for securing a threaded fastener of a bolted joint. The spring device includes at least one ring-shaped portion and a plurality of elongate spring elements. Each spring element is attached at least in a first end to the at least one ring-shaped portion. The at least one ring-shaped portion and a body formed by the plurality of spring elements have a common centre axis. Each spring element includes an inner peripheral surface directed towards the centre axis, and wherein a first portion of said inner peripheral surface is closer to the centre axis than are other portions of said inner peripheral surface and closer to the centre axis than an inner peripheral surface of the at least one ring-shaped portion. The disclosure further relates to a system for securing a bolted joint.
Structural fastener
A U-shaped clamp to attach or snap a conduit or pipe to a slotted structural member. The U-shaped clamp includes a bottom portion, a first side having a first wing connected to the bottom portion; a second side having a second wing connected to the bottom portion thereby forming a U-shaped structure with the first and second sides. The at least one wing snaps into a strut ledge or a rolled edge of the structural member when in an engaged position. The structural member may be a strut or a receiver. The wings engage and snap into curled ends or lips on sides of the strut and thus may adapt the pipe clamp to the strut. Alternatively, the U-shaped clamp may snap into suitably sized strut ledges or a rolled edges on the structural member.
Track deviation sensing mechanism
A track deviation sensing mechanism for a steering column includes a sleeve having an inner wall and an outer wall defining an annular opening. The inner wall defines a plurality of internal splines and the sleeve receives the steering column. A sensor has a first axial opening, and a ring is disposed within the first axial opening. The ring defines a second axial opening for accommodating the sleeve. A first part is functionally disposed between the sleeve and the ring such that the first part is lockingly connected to the sleeve and the ring. The first part has a third axial opening. A second part has a fourth axial opening and locks the sensor and the first part at a prerequisite configuration. The first axial opening, the second axial opening, the third axial opening, the fourth axial opening and the annular opening are coaxial.
Cable bracket assembly
A mounting bracket used to attach cables to a cable tray rung. The mounting bracket has a bracket main body and a bracket spring attachment. The bracket main body includes a base plate and a cable attachment member for supporting the cables. The bracket spring attachment slidingly engages the bracket main body to form the mounting bracket. The bracket spring attachment secures the assembled mounting bracket to the cable tray rung.
