A blind nut assembly including a bush and nut. The bush includes a short cylindrical collar, which has a polygonal outer surface on the outer surface thereof, and a flange, the outer surface of which is polygonal. The nut consists of a female screw member, on which a female screw to be mated with a male screw on a bolt is formed; and a nut cylindrical member, which is formed adjacent to the female screw member, which has a polygonal inner surface on the inner surface thereof aligning with the polygonal outer surface of the collar, of which the outer surface is also a polygonal outer surface, and which has a wall thickness that is thinner than the female screw member. The nut head has an outer diameter which is larger than the maximum outer diameter of the nut cylindrical member, is formed above the nut cylindrical member.

Deep-drawn marine hull having a sandwich structure and watercraft utilizing same

A deep-drawn, marine hull having a sandwich structure and watercraft utilizing same are provided. The hull includes an outer skin having a waterproof outer surface, an inner skin having a compartment-defining outer surface and a shock absorbing, cellular core positioned between the skins. The skins are bonded to the core by press molding. The cellular core has a 2-D array of cells, each of the cells having an axis substantially perpendicular to the outer surfaces. Thickness of side walls of the hull is substantially uniform to maximize stiffness of the hull. The cells absorb energy of an impact at the outer surface of the outer skin by deformably crushing. Air trapped within cells which are not completely crushed or punctured by the impact provide the hull with buoyancy to allow the hull to float at the surface of a body of water.

Adjusting element, first component with adjusting element, connection structure comprising the first component, manufacturing method of the adjusting element and connection method

An adjusting element formed in one piece and made of metal for compensating a tolerance in the distance between a first and a second component is described. The adjusting element comprises: a hollow-cylindrical body having a radially outwardly extending flange adjacent to a first axial end and an outer thread of a first thread direction at a radial outer side, a drive feature so that the adjusting element is rotatable by a tool, a receiving portion at the radial inner side of the hollow-cylindrical body, in which a dragging element is to be received, wherein the receiving portion comprises at least one radially inwardly extending protrusion, in particular a plurality of radially inwardly extending protrusions, at a radial inner side of the hollow-cylindrical body adapted to a form-fit connection with the dragging element and at least one shoulder extending circumferentially at the radial inner side and providing an axial limitation.

Blind rivet nut-setting tool

A method comprising threading a blind rivet nut onto an output shaft of the tool, pressing the blind rivet nut against a workpiece, thereby applying an external force to the output shaft to move the output shaft in a rearward direction along a longitudinal axis from a first position to a second position, activating a first motor to rotate the output shaft about the longitudinal axis in response to the output shaft reaching the second position, thereby further threading the blind rivet nut onto the output shaft, and activating a second motor to translate the output shaft along the longitudinal axis in the rearward direction, thereby setting the blind rivet nut on the workpiece.

RIVET NUT, RIVET NUT ASSEMBLY SYSTEM, AND RIVET NUT ASSEMBLY METHOD

A rivet nut has a through-hole and a target member is assembled with the rivet nut passing therethrough. The rivet nut includes a cylindrical body, a protrusion formed on and protruding from a lower end of the cylindrical body, and a flange formed on and protruding from an upper end of the cylindrical body. The target member is assembled by the flange contacting an upper-end surface of the target member and the protrusion contacting a lower-end surface of the target member.
