Installation and design of a rivnut
A rivet nut (“rivnut”) installation method and a rivnut structural configuration are disclosed that can be implemented separately in conjunction with one another to serve as an anchor in and/or a workpiece at an installation location. The rivnut installation method involves inserting a rivnut onto an externally threaded mandrel, rotating the mandrel while a free end of the mandrel is in contact with the workpiece, and driving the free end of the mandrel and the rivnut through the workpiece while continuing to rotate the mandrel. The method is particularly useful when the workpiece includes one or more substrate layers composed of a low ductility material such as a polymer composite. The rivnut structural configuration includes the incorporation of an external threading onto at least a portion of a hollow shaft of the rivnut.
DEFORMED BLIND RIVET LOOP CLAMP
A pipe or tube hanger consisting of a loop clamp combined with a blind rivet fastener which has the joint deformed to stiffen the blind rivet so it may be used as a tension member in the application. This will replace cast iron parts which have been typically used for this application. See
FASTENING NUT AND FASTENING ASSEMBLY
A fastening nut and a fastening assembly that includes the fastening nut. The fastening nut includes a collar and a receiving column, the receiving column includes an engageable receiving portion and a deformable receiving portion. The deformable receiving portion includes an upper barrel and a lower barrel connected to each other. The upper barrel has a right cone shape, the lower barrel has an inverted cone shape, and an outwardly-protruding bent portion is formed at a joint between the upper barrel and the lower barrel. The deformable receiving portion includes at least two holes provided at intervals in a circumferential direction of the receiving column.

An adjustment element with which a component is fastenable and positionable in the space and including a sleeve-like hollow screw with a first and a second axial end and an outer thread to which a component can be retained and can be positioned in axial direction of the hollow screw, adjacent to the first axial end, the hollow screw has a fastening collar which is configured integrally and projects radially to the inside and which encompasses a tubular fastening opening of the hollow screw, and an axial support sleeve arranged within the tubular fastening opening so that the hollow screw is rotatably fastenable with a fastening means to a component in a rotatable manner, which passes through the axial support sleeve.
Deformable sleeve nut and a method of manufacturing
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a deformable sleeve nut that includes selectively strain hardening only a first portion of a material blank while not strain hardening a second portion of the material blank, then, after strain hardening the first portion of the material blank, internally threading the first portion of the material blank to define a nut portion and machining the second portion of the material blank to define a deformable sleeve portion that includes an end portion and a bulbing portion positioned between the end portion and the nut portion, where the bulbing portion is constructed to bulb outwardly and form a load bearing flange when the bulbing portion is compressed between the end portion and the nut portion. Also disclosed is a deformable sleeve nut made with this process.
BLIND RIVET
A blind rivet for establishing a screw connection between a support component and a fastening part has an elastic outer body and a metal bushing arranged therein. The outer body is at least partially surrounded by a fixing sleeve which fixes the outer body on an end portion in the metal bushing.
Hot joint fastener
A method for joining together different components or different sections of a single component, wherein at least one of the components is a thermoplastic fiber composite component, by using a threaded fastener. Heat is used for softening the thermoplastic fiber composite component to be joined together with the threaded fastener. A joined-together fiber composite component of a vehicle, aircraft or spacecraft, can be obtained by the disclosed method.

An insert to be crimped on a support includes a body having a shank extending along a longitudinal axis and including a crimping section configured to deform into a crimping bead to crimp the insert on the support, and a flange presenting a surface facing the crimping section and extending along an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, the flange having a constant thickness and presenting a fold forming a groove situated on the surface and designed to receive a seal. A fixing part includes the insert and a seal housed in the groove of the insert, and a fixing assembly includes the fixing part and a support on which the fixing part is crimped.

A connection element without a female thread, having a damping function, and by which two components can be connected. The connection element has an outer sleeve, a spacer sleeve, and a screw having a first outer diameter and a tolerance compensation disc positioned on the screw. The outer sleeve has an outer body having a shaft with a fastening flange at a first end and, adjacent to a second end, a folding zone which can form a compression bead. The outer sleeve has a first inner diameter and a second inner diameter smaller than the first. A first component can be supported between the fastening flange and the compression bead. The second component can be fastened, adjacent to the second end of the outer sleeve, by means of the sleeve. The screw and the tolerance compensation disc are positioned in the outer sleeve with radial play.
BATTERY PACK
A battery pack, includes a box assembly including a box body and a plurality of fixed beams, a plurality of battery modules, and a plurality of constraint components, each of which includes a limiting portion, a first mounting portion and a second mounting portion. The first mounting portion is provided with a plurality of first mounting holes along a length direction of the fixed beams. The second mounting portion is provided with a plurality of second mounting holes along the length direction. A plurality of first fasteners respectively pass through the first mounting holes and are fixed to one fixed beam. A plurality of second fasteners respectively pass through the second mounting holes and are fixed to the other fixed beam. The first mounting hole and the second mounting hole have different adjustment amounts in the arrangement direction.
