A ball socket for a ball joint is provided, including a base body with a recess for receiving a ball head of the ball joint, wherein the recess includes a support region for supporting the ball head and a cylindrical insertion region for inserting the ball head in an insertion direction into the support region, and a securing element, wherein the securing element includes a connecting region and two retaining legs connected to one another by the connecting region. The base body includes two retaining channels open to the insertion region. The retaining channels extend from the insertion region in a curved manner towards the retaining axis, wherein the free end portions of the retaining legs can be elastically bent, so that the free end portions spring back after the ball head has been pushed into the insertion region in order to fix the ball head in the support region.

STABILIZER LINK

A stabilizer link of the present invention includes connecting parts that has a housing which supports a ball stud to be connected to the first or second structure so as to be swingable and rotatable, wherein the ball stud has a stud part extending from a spherical part and the housing houses a support member to support a spherical part of the ball stud in a spherical space so as to be slidable, wherein the support member includes: an opening where the spherical space is open for the stud part; a lubricant receiving part in a concave shape that faces the opening; and a wall surface that forms the spherical space for the spherical part to slide thereon and has recessed grooves formed on both sides or one side of a portion of the wall surface having the maximum inner radius about the central axis of the spherical space.

SOCKET JOINT DEVICE, FASTENING DEVICE, AND INDIRECT VISUAL SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES

A socket joint device is provided which has a low installation height and a fairly small installation volume. The socket joint includes a first and a second joint component (2, 6). The first joint component (2) has a spherical surface element (10) with a convex or concave exterior (11). The exterior (11) of the spherical surface element (10) is part of a spherical surface. An engagement mechanism (14) engages over the spherical surface element (10), so that the engagement mechanism (14) and the spherical surface element (10) contact one another via a first contact surface (22). A spherical cap-shaped receptacle (24) in the first or second joint component (2, 6) and an associated convex spherical cap (26) in the respective other joint component result in a second contact surface (28) that has a smaller radius of curvature R2 than the radius of curvature R1 of the spherical surface element (10).

BALL JOINT
20180163775 · 2018-06-14 ·

A ball joint having a housing, an opening and an inner circumferential surface facing the opening and extending around a longitudinal axis. The housing holds a ball socket that opens toward the opening and has an overlap region that is inclined radially inward, in the direction of the opening, and which, with the circumferential surface, delimits an annular space. A ball pin having a joint ball is mounted in the socket and extends out of the housing through the opening. A locking ring is inserted into the annular space and fixed axially between the socket and an inner shoulder located adjacent the opening. An outer circumferential surface of the locking ring abuts the circumferential surface and a surface which abuts an area of the overlap region and which is inclined inwardly toward the longitudinal axis in the direction of the pin opening. The locking ring is an open ring.

Plug-in coupling from coupling element and ball stud

The present disclosure is directed to a coupling element for the releasable connection of a first component to a second component. The coupling element has an annular basic element comprising a fastening structure at a radially outer side. Further, the basic element comprises a socket-like holding structure at a radially inner side. The socket-like holding structure comprises a centrally arranged supporting element as well as a plurality of holding webs. The holding webs comprise at least a first and a second web section. The first web section encloses with an axis of symmetry S of the coupling element an angle from a range of 4590 and the first web section and the second web section are arranged in an obtuse angle with respect to each other.
