Cross roller bearing

In a cross roller bearing, an outer ring and an inner ring have respective mounting portions formed thereon in such a manner as to reduce the radial thickness of the bearing to thereby reduce weight. The cross roller bearing has rollers and separators disposed in a load-carrying race formed between the outer ring and the inner ring. The outer ring and the inner ring have the respective mounting portions located axially away from respective raceway surfaces. The outer circumferential surface of the outer ring and the inner circumferential surface of the inner ring are flat. The mounting portion of the outer ring does not radially protrude from the inner circumferential surface of the inner ring, and the mounting portion of the inner ring does not radially protrude from the outer circumferential surface of the outer ring.

A swing bearing allows a reduction in thickness, weight, and manufacturing cost by means of fixing together a pair of split rings each formed of a plate member to form an outer ring, and fixing together a pair of split rings each formed of a plate member to form an inner ring. The outer ring is composed of a pair of split rings which are obtained by splitting the outer ring at an axially midpoint of the first raceway groove, are formed of respective plate members, and are fixed together. The inner ring is composed of a pair of split rings which are obtained by splitting the inner ring at an axially midpoint of the second raceway groove, are formed of respective plate members, and are fixed together. The split rings of the outer ring and the split rings of the inner ring are formed by press working on the respective plate members having predetermined thicknesses, respectively.

Electric Machine Comprising Axial Thrust Bearings

An electric machine has a stator with N posts. A rotor is mounted on bearings for rotary movement about an axis relative to the stator with an air gap between the rotor and stator. The bearings are pre-loaded axial thrust bearings or pre-loaded angular bearings. The pre-load forces are provided at least in part by magnetic attraction between the stator and rotor. The rotor has M poles. The values for N and M have the property that the greatest common divisor of N and M is four or more.

A device with a torque-proof first structural component and second structural component that is connected to the first structural component in a rotatable manner at least in certain areas. Hydraulic fluid can be supplied to lubrication points via the first and second structural components. An interface between the structural components has first and second transition areas arranged at a distance from each other in axial extension of the structural components. During operation, a pressure is applied to the first transition area which is higher than a pressure applied to the second transition area. A sealing appliance is arranged in the area of the interface between the first and second transition areas, which includes a threaded area in an area of a surface of one of the first and second structural components facing towards a surface of the other of the first and second structural components.

Crossed roller bearing

The roller insertion groove of the inner ring of a crossed roller bearing is provided with an outer circumferential surface-side groove opening that is exposed to an inner rings-side V-groove. The groove opening is defined by circumferential direction opening edge that extends in the circumferential direction along the inner ring-side V-groove and side opening edges that extend from both ends of the circumferential direction opening to the ring-shaped end face of the inner ring. Concentration of stress occurs in the corners between the circumferential direction opening edges and the side opening edges. The circumferential direction opening edge is formed so as not to coincide with the minimum outer diameter section of the inner ring-side V-groove.

Bearing assembly

An improved bearing assembly is disclosed. Ring-shaped rolling elements in an alternating staggered formation, which allows maintenance of the bearing assembly geometry with fewer structural elements than prior bearings. The rolling elements can create a constant elastic tension, or pre-load, which maintains the bearing assembly geometry under various loads and rotational speeds, and reduces wear on the rolling elements and the raceways. The rolling elements can also comprise energy-dampening members and/or instrumentation which can monitor the functioning of the bearing assembly. An alternate embodiment in which the rolling elements are interlocked allows the use of more rolling elements in the same volume. An improved cage assembly, highly suitable for use with the improved bearing assembly, is also disclosed. The improved cage assembly comprises individual cage segments, which each retain one rolling element. The cage assembly can flex at every joint in a way not allowed by prior cage assemblies.
