The shaft assembly includes a bottom support, a top support, a central rod connecting the bottom support to the top support, a plurality of stacked modules, each module forming an aperture for receiving the central rod, a top pre-tensioning nut affixed to a top end of the central rod, and a bottom pretensioning nut affixed to a bottom end of the central rod. The top pre-tensioning nut and the bottom pre-tensioning nut clamp the plurality of stacked modules between the bottom support and the top support.
Stiffness gain mechanism for magnetic suspension bearing, magnetic suspension bearing, and blood pump
The present disclosure relates to a stiffness enhancing mechanism for a magnetic suspension bearing, a magnetic suspension bearing including the stiffness enhancing mechanism, and a blood pump. The magnetic suspension bearing comprises a stator with stator teeth and a rotor disposed within the stator. The stiffness enhancing mechanism comprises: a rotor permanent magnet, a stator permanent magnet, and an axial driving body. The rotor permanent magnet and the rotor of the magnetic suspension bearing form a rotor assembly, which has an asymmetric structure with respect to the main plane (P) of the rotor. The stiffness enhancing mechanism is configured such that the stator permanent magnet generates a radial attractive force to the rotor permanent magnet, and the axial driving body generates an axial repulsive force to the rotor permanent magnet, wherein the magnitude of the axial repulsive force is variable with a change of an axial distance between the axial driving body and the rotor permanent magnet. The stiffness enhancing mechanism can increase the torsional stiffness of the rotor of the magnetic suspension bearing and facilitate the miniaturization of the magnetic suspension bearing.
DRIVE DEVICE FOR DRIVING A WATERCRAFT
A drive device for driving a watercraft is provided. The drive device has a stator and has a rotor which, during operation, rotates relative to the stator about an axis of rotation. The axis of rotation is fixed in position in relation to the stator. The rotor is realized as an internal rotor. The rotor, at least during operation, is supported on the stator in the axial direction by means of a first axial bearing means.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, AMPLIFICATION AND/OR STORAGE
A machine (101) including a vertical rotatable shaft (4b) levitated by magnets (5) so as to minimize frictional losses. Magnets (5) are arranged on the machine body (7) and/or the shaft (4b) of the machine (101) to thereby exert a repelling force so that the rotating shaft (4b) is uplifted against gravitational forces. The machine (101) may additionally or alternatively incorporate a magnetic bearing (6), a variable inertia flywheel (24), a magnetic gear (29), and/or a magnetic clutch (19). The magnetic gear (29) may incorporate arrow shaped magnets (28).
Permanent Magnet Thrust Bearing
A magnetic thrust bearing is designed for use in a pumping system that includes a pump driven by a motor through a shaft. The magnetic thrust bearing includes one or more platters that remain stationary with respect to the shaft and one or more thrust discs connected to the shaft and interleaved with the one or more platters. Each of the one or more platters includes a plurality of platter magnets and each of the one or more thrust discs includes a plurality of thrust disc magnets. The magnets on the platters and thrust discs are configured to produce repulsive magnetic forces as the thrust discs approach the platters.
ROLLER MODULE WITH MAGNETIC BEARINGS AND PERMANENT MAGNETS
A roller module includes a roller, a magnetic bearing, a permanent magnet, at least one pair of magnetic coring, and a plurality of gap sensors. The roller has a protrusion and has a cylindrical shape. The protrusion is formed at both outer surfaces of the roller with a stepped portion and has the cylindrical shape. The magnetic bearing is formed at the roller. The permanent magnet is formed at the roller. At least one pair of magnetic coring covers an outer circumference of the protrusion. The gap sensors are formed along an axial direction and a radial direction of the roller.
HYBRID TIMEPIECE OSCILLATOR
