Seal assemblies for conveyor idler rolls are provided. In some embodiments, a plurality of subsets of seal components are selectively installable in the seal assembly. In some embodiments, one or more fins are included on a seal.

Sealed thrust ball bearing

The inner elastic sealing member 5 includes an inner cylindrical base portion 5A leading to an end portion of an inner cylindrical portion 1B of the inner ring 1, and also includes, at an outer circumferential surface of the inner cylindrical base portion 5A, a projection 7 extending radially outward of an inner periphery of a lower end of an inner cylindrical portion 2B of the outer ring 2. The outer elastic sealing member 6 includes a lip 6B brought into pressure contact with a pressure contact surface B of the outer ring 2. An upper surface 7A of the projection 7 is spaced downward from the lower end of the inner cylindrical portion 2B of the outer ring 2, and an outer circumferential surface 7C of the projection 7 is spaced radially inward from the lower member 8.

A rolling bearing with sealing device provided on each side of the rolling bearing in order to prevent the entry of contaminants inside the rolling bearing, the rolling bearing having a non-rotating outer ring and a rotating inner ring and with a plurality of rolling bodies placed between them. The sealing device provided with first and second shields arranged axially in series between them across a cavity defined by the two rings, the first shields integral with the outer ring and the second shields integral with the inner ring and defining with the first shields an annular gap, which has a substantially constant axial thickness and is radially bounded by a first sealing labyrinth arranged in the region of the outer ring and a second sealing labyrinth arranged in the region of the inner ring.

The inner elastic sealing member 5 includes an inner cylindrical base portion 5A leading to an end portion of an inner cylindrical portion 1B of the inner ring 1, and also includes, at an outer circumferential surface of the inner cylindrical base portion 5A, a projection 7 extending radially outward of an inner periphery of a lower end of an inner cylindrical portion 2B of the outer ring 2. The outer elastic sealing member 6 includes a lip 6B brought into pressure contact with a pressure contact surface B of the outer ring 2. An upper surface 7A of the projection 7 is spaced downward from the lower end of the inner cylindrical portion 2B of the outer ring 2, and an outer circumferential surface 7C of the projection 7 is spaced radially inward from the lower member 8.

Bearing comprising a resilient bearing flange

The bearing provides an outer ring, an inner ring, at least one seal fixed to one of the rings and cooperating with the other ring, and at least one sealing flange fixed on the other ring. Flange is at least partly elastically deformable in the axial direction. Flange is axially mounted in contact against an outer lateral face of the seal. At least one local deformation is provided to the sealing flange to support elastically deformation of the flange. The sealing flange further provides at least one protrusion that axially extends beyond the local deformation.

There is provided a rolling bearing including: inner and outer members, rolling elements in a raceway space, flexible annular sealing members which close openings at both ends of the raceway space, and annular metal shield members. Each sealing member is formed in three-dimensional shape such that the sealing member in a natural state is convex inwardly between outer and inner circumferential edge portions and the inner circumferential edge portion is elastically in surface contact with the outer surface of the inner member when the sealing member is fitted to the outer member. Each metal shield member is fixed to the outer member in a state that the outer circumferential edge portion of each sealing member is sandwiched between the metal shield member and the outer member. Each metal shield member covers part of each sealing member without contacting the inner member.

Bearing unit with sealing device

A bearing unit includes an inner ring, an outer ring, and a sealing device interposed between the inner and outer ring. The sealing device includes first annular screen joined to the radially outer ring and a second annular screen joined to the radially inner ring and facing the first screen. The first screen includes a first gasket made of an elastomeric material, and the second screen includes a second sealing gasket made of an elastomeric material. The second gasket includes an elastically deformable non-contacting annular lip projecting from a radially outer peripheral edge of the second screen. The non-contacting annular sealing lip is contained at least partially within an annular groove of the outer ring in an un-deformed configuration, and the non-contacting annular lip is configured to flex in a radially and axially inward direction and contact the annular groove in a deformed configuration.
