Constant-velocity joint
In a constant-velocity joint, a center locus of a ball rolling on a first outer large-diameter portion has an arc shape having an arc center, and a center locus of the ball rolling on a second outer large-diameter portion has an arc shape having an arc center. Center loci of the ball rolling on an outer extension portion are positioned, throughout their lengths, in a region inducing a tangent line to an opening-side end portion of the center locus of the ball rolling on the second outer large-diameter portion, the region being positioned outward of the tangent line in a radial direction of the outer joint member. An opening-side end portion of the center locus of the ball rolling on the outer extension portion is positioned outward of the tangent line in the radial direction of the outer joint member.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OUTER JOINT MEMBER OF CONSTANT VELOCITY UNIVERSAL JOINT AND ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTION-INSPECTION METHOD FOR A WELDED PORTION
A manufacturing method is used for an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint. The outer joint member includes a cup section having track grooves formed in its inner periphery, which are engageable with torque transmitting elements, and a shaft section formed at a bottom portion of the cup section. The manufacturing method includes welding the cup and shaft members by irradiating a beam to joining end portions of the cup and shaft members, causing an outer surface including the welded portion to be formed into a flat smooth surface by removal processing, irradiating ultrasonic waves to the flat smooth surface with one probe at an incident angle which prevents total reflection in a circumferential angle beam flaw detection method, and setting a focal point of the ultrasonic waves to positions from a surface to an inside of the welded portion, to thereby perform inspection.

Constant velocity joint
A constant-velocity joint for torque-transmission, in which a first type of track pairs of ball tracks is configured in such a manner that the centers of curvature of the center lines of the ball tracks are situated in the joint center plane when the joint is straight. A second type of track pairs of ball tracks is configured in such a manner that their center lines have at least two portions. The respective center line of the outer ball tracks of the second type of track pairs has at least one inner portion and one outer portion, wherein the inner portion is situated on the connection side of the outer joint portion, while the outer portion is situated on the opening side of the outer joint portion, and the inner portion is curved.

Joint arrangement, drive system for driving control surfaces of an aircraft and aircraft with such a drive system
A joint arrangement includes an outer joint component, an inner joint component, a cage and at least two balls located between the outer and inner joint component and in openings of the cage. The balls run in ball recesses, while at least two are in a mechanical contact with pressing devices, which are adapted for holding the respective balls in a radially flexible position relative to one of the inner joint component, the outer joint component and the cage and for pressing the respective balls into the corresponding recesses.

Fixed type constant velocity universal joint
A fixed type constant velocity universal joint has an outer joint member including first track groove portions and second track groove portions. Each of the first track groove portions includes an arc part having a curvature center that is not offset in an axial direction with respect to a joint center. The first track groove portions are inclined in a peripheral direction of the outer joint member with respect to a joint axial line and adjacent to each other in the peripheral direction with inclination directions opposite to each other. Each of the second track groove portions has a different shape than the first track groove portions. Each of the first track groove portions and each of the second track groove portions are connected to each other at a position on an opening side with respect to the joint center.
