Single Hooke's joint with spherical mast attachment
Embodiments are directed to a rotor hub assembly comprising a yoke configured to attach rotor blades thereto, a single Hooke's joint configured to attach to, and transmit forces between, a mast and the yoke, and a spherical bearing coupled between the yoke and the mast. Two pillow blocks couple the single Hooke's joint to the yoke. An adapter sleeve is attached to the pillow blocks and is positioned to surround the spherical bearing. The adapter sleeve extends between the single Hooke's joint and the mast. A hub lock extension is attached to the yoke. The hub lock extension is configured to receive a hub lock that prevents gimballing of the yoke when engaged.
A UNIVERSAL JOINT WITH IMPROVED STIFFNESS
The universal joint (5, 7) includes first and second forks (23, 25) each having a pair of arms (61) with seats (61.1) for respective trunnions (27.1) of a spider (27). The arms (61) extend from an outer edge (91.1) of a collar (91) provided to increase the stiffness of the arms and reduce bending deformations thereof under heavy load operating conditions.

Snap-in bearing cup
A joint assembly having a first joint member drivingly connected to a second joint member by a third joint member. The first joint member of the joint assembly has a first yoke arm with a first yoke arm aperture defined by a first yoke arm aperture surface and a second yoke arm with a second yoke arm aperture defined by a second yoke arm aperture surface. The joint assembly M further includes one or more bearing cup assemblies having a bearing cup with a base portion and a tubular portion. At least a portion of the bearing cup assemblies are received and/or retained within at least a portion of the first yoke arm aperture and the second yoke arm aperture of the first joint member. One or more attachment portions extend outboard from at least a portion of an outer surface of the base portion of the bearing cup.
SYSTEM FOR CHECKING THE CONDITIONS OF USE OF A CARDAN SHAFT FOR A TOOL WHICH IS CONNECTED TO A MOTOR AND CARDAN SHAFT PROVIDED WITH SUCH A SYSTEM
A cardan shaft for a tool connected to a motor and provided with a system for checking conditions of use thereof. The cardan shaft has a rotatable shaft, with one or two end cardan joints. One or more sensor members are mounted on the cardan shaft to transmit signals to a data acquisition and data-processing electronic control unit (ECU) mounted on a fixed protection of the cardan shaft. The sensor members measure data such as torque transmitted by the cardan shaft, rotation speed of the rotatable shaft, vibrations of the cardan shaft, temperature of the cardan joint and articulation angle. A system for checking conditions of use of the cardan shaft has a remote node connected to the ECU and mounted on the fixed protection. The remote node acquires, stores and processes data sent to the ECU by the sensor members.
Medical device stabilizing apparatus and method of use
A stabilizing apparatus for a transcatheter delivery system includes a housing having an aperture to receive the transcatheter delivery system. An engagement member is disposed in the housing. A biasing element urges the engagement member against a surface of the transcatheter delivery system when the transcatheter delivery system is placed in the housing.
UNIVERSAL JOINT WITH REINFORCED YOKE EARS
A universal joint for vehicle drivetrains and the like that eliminates the spinning of bearing caps relative to yoke years and trunnions and inhibits inadvertent spreading of opposing ears of a yoke away from each other under increasing torsional loads to reduce wear and failure of the joint. Broadly, the disclosed universal joint includes a central body having a plurality of pairs of opposite apertures, first and second yokes that are disposed about the central body over respective ones of the pairs of apertures, and a plurality of trunnions inserted through the yoke ears and into the apertures of the body to pivotally secure the yokes to the body. Each trunnion is non-rotatable relative to its respective yoke and a locking assembly inhibits movement of each opposite pair of trunnions away from each other thereby inhibiting movement of the opposite ears of each respective yoke away from each other.
Wear check tool for universal joint
A tool for checking wear in a Cardan joint comprises a base element, a trigger plate, an indicator pin, an indicator pin carrier and an indicator pin biasing element. The trigger plate is pivotally mounted to the base element about a trigger plate pivot axis (A) for pivotal movement between a first pivotal position and a second pivotal position. It has, at one end, a trigger plate yoke with a pair of opposed arms for engaging over one arm of a second yoke member of the Cardan joint and, at another end, an indicator pin opening. The indicator pin carrier is pivotally mounted to the base element to permit the angular position of the indicator pin carrier to be adjusted relative to the trigger plate. The indicator pin carrier is arranged between the base element and the trigger plate.
Propeller shaft tube yoke having a welded joint
A tube yoke end fitting for coupling to a shaft tube of a drive shaft assembly includes a tubular first portion having a first end and a second end. The first end configured for coupling to the shaft tube. The tube yoke end fitting includes a second portion including a pair of ears extending outwardly from the second end of the first portion. The pair of ears is diametrically spaced from each other with respect to the first portion. Each of the pair of ears includes an aperture formed therethrough. A yoke length of the tube yoke end fitting measured from a center of each of the apertures to the first end of the first portion is greater than an ear span of the tube yoke end fitting measured between outer surfaces of the pair of ears.
