20170276189 · 2017-09-28 ·

The friction clutch comprises: a driving part comprising at least one first friction element; a driven part comprising a hub and at least one second friction element drivingly connected for rotation with the hub; at least one spring configured to press the friction elements of the driving part and of the driven part against each other by applying an elastic force on these friction elements; and an actuation unit arranged to bring about opening of the friction clutch by applying directly or indirectly on the at least one spring an actuating force directed in the opposite direction to the elastic force so as to move the friction elements away from each other. The actuation unit comprises a thrust bearing, at least one force transmission member and a hollow actuating member arranged to apply the actuating force on the at least one spring via the thrust bearing and the at least one force transmission member. The hollow actuating member is arranged on the opposite side of the hub to the at least one spring. The at least one force transmission member extends through the hub.

A work vehicle drive assembly has a bimodal clutch module that includes a pressure plate, a module housing containing first and second cavities located on opposing sides of the pressure plate, and an actuator. The actuator is controllable to move the pressure plate along a working axis of the clutch module. A clutch member is installed in a selected one of the first and second cavities. The clutch member is (i) engaged by movement of the pressure plate along the working axis in a first direction when the clutch member is installed in the first cavity and (ii) disengaged by movement of the pressure plate along the working axis in the first direction when the clutch member is installed in the second cavity.

Clutch and automobile having the same

A clutch includes a drive disc, a driven disc, and a friction plate unit capable of engaging or disengaging the drive disc with or from the driven disc, the friction plate unit including a first friction plate assembly and a second friction plate assembly, the clutch further including a pressing unit configured to engage or disengage the drive disc with or from the driven disc selectively by the first friction plate assembly alone or by a combination of the first friction plate assembly and the second friction plate assembly. Such an arrangement enables the clutch to select an appropriate number of friction plates as required for engagement, solving the problem that in existing multi-plate clutches, it is impossible to select an appropriate number of friction plates to participate in work to make the clutches obtain optimal performance according to different working conditions of the automobile.
