Vehicle transmission and method of assembling vehicle transmission

A vehicle transmission includes a transmission shaft, a friction element assembly mounted on the transmission shaft, a piston assembly for actuating the friction element assembly, a snap ring for retaining the friction element assembly and a mounting groove formed in the transmission shaft. The snap ring is installed into the mounting groove by expanding the snap ring and then allowing the snap to contract and enter the mounting groove. The mounting groove is located such that the snap ring could exit the mounting groove upon expansion of the snap ring due to a centrifugal force. Accordingly, various arrangements are provided to prevent the snap ring from leaving the mounting groove after installation.

A multi-plate clutch is specified, with an outer plate carrier, an inner plate carrier and a plate pack which consists of alternately arranged outer plates and inner plates and is arranged radially between the outer plate carrier and the inner plate carrier, wherein a first group of the outer plates is mounted on the outer plate carrier and/or a first group of the inner plates is mounted on the inner plate carrier with a larger circumferential backlash than the other outer plates or inner plates, respectively, which are mounted on their plate carrier with no or smaller circumferential backlash, wherein the outer and/or inner plates with larger circumferential backlash in each case directly adjoin at least one plate with no or smaller circumferential backlash. Furthermore, an electrically operated drive train and a method for producing a multi-plate clutch are specified.

The clutch pack incorporates liners, improved driving friction disks and driven disks where the thickness of the improved driving friction disks and driven disks are selected in order to allow more driving friction disks and more driven disks to be used within the improved clutch pack while maintaining approximately the same overall height as compared to the standard clutch pack the vehicles clutch system was designed for.

A hybrid drive device includes: a rotor; a transmission; and a case, in which a rotor support member that supports a rotor of the rotary electric machine includes an annular member that faces an end wall portion of the case, the end wall portion includes a first tubular portion that protrudes in an axial direction from an inner periphery toward the transmission, and a second tubular portion that protrudes in the axial direction toward the transmission so as to surround the first tubular portion, the annular member includes a tubular portion that protrudes in the axial direction from an inner periphery toward an engine, an inner side radial bearing is disposed between the first transmitting shaft and an inner peripheral surface of the first tubular portion of the end wall portion, a clearance is formed between an outer peripheral surface of the first tubular portion of the end wall portion and an inner peripheral surface of the tubular portion of the annular member, and an outer side radial bearing is disposed between an outer peripheral surface of the tubular portion of the annular member and an inner peripheral surface of the second tubular portion of the end wall portion. As a result, the durability of the bearing for supporting the rotor of the rotary electric machine in the radial direction can be further improved.

An automatic transmission includes a clutch having a drum section, a hub, a friction plate, a piston that presses the friction plate, a hydraulic chamber to which hydraulic oil is supplied to urge the piston in a direction toward the friction plate, and a cancellation chamber to which hydraulic oil is supplied to cancel a centrifugal hydraulic pressure applied to the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic chamber, and the piston is interposed between the hydraulic chamber and the cancellation chamber. The drum section includes communication passages that extend in a radial direction and respectively communicate with the hydraulic chamber and the cancellation chamber. Of the communication passages, in the communication passage that communicates with the cancellation chamber, an adjustment member is provided at an end portion on a radially inner side, and can adjust an atmospheric air release position of the communication passage in the radial direction.

A clutch for a lift fan with input and output shafts on a common rotational axis, connected by disc shaped output clutch plates oriented normal to the axis. A keyway extends radially inward from a mouth at an outer diameter of each output clutch plate to a seat at an inner diameter of the respective clutch plate. At least one output shaft lug key may be positioned in the keyway and extends axially from one output clutch plate to the other output clutch plate, which couples the rotation of the output clutch plates to the rotation the output shaft and allows axial movement of the two output clutch plates relative the output shaft lug key, the output shaft has an outer radial surface and an inner radial surface. At least one input clutch plate positioned axially between the two output clutch plates and rotationally fixed to the input shaft.
