BRAKE PAD, DISK BRAKE ASSEMBLY, AND VEHICLE

A method of manufacturing a brake pad including a friction pad and a mounting structure includes providing a cure mold; filling the cure mold with granulated thermoset plastic to form the mounting structure and particulate friction material to form the friction pad; and press curing in a single step the filled cure mold to form the brake pad.

A brake pad includes a friction material and a backing plate which are coupled to each other. An apparatus for manufacturing the brake pad includes a forming device forming friction material powder in the form of the friction material and attaching the formed friction material to the backing plate in a forming process, a quality stabilization device heating and pressing the friction material, and a heat treatment unit heating the brake pad at a predetermined temperature.

Process for assembling vehicle brake shoes and associated brake shoe

A process for assembling vehicle brake shoes, includes providing a painted vehicle brake shoe with a table constructed and arranged for receiving a brake friction liner; applying a layer of self-adhesive material to the brake shoe table; subjecting the brake shoe and layer of material to heat sufficient in intensity and duration to thermally bond the self-adhesive material to the brake shoe table; removing a release layer from an external surface of the layer of self-adhesive material; applying a brake lining to the combined brake shoe and self-adhesive material; and fastening the brake lining to the brake shoe.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LAMELLA PACK OF A WET-OPERATED FRICTION CLUTCH AND FRICTION CLUTCH

A disk pack for a wet-operated friction clutch includes a plurality of friction disks, a plurality of steel disks, and an additive. The plurality of friction disks each include a friction lining on each side. The plurality of steel disks are stacked alternately with the plurality of friction disks. The additive is formed of a polar residue and a nonpolar residue. At least one of the plurality of friction disks or at least one of the plurality of steel disks is treated with the additive prior to an initial startup of the disk pack. The polar residue is attached to the at least one of the plurality of friction disks or the plurality of steel disks. The nonpolar residue is arranged for binding to an operating fluid.

Method for producing a friction body

A method for producing a friction body, in particular a wet friction disk in a motor vehicle, the friction body turning about a rotational axis during operation. The friction body has a friction area and a connection area and the connection area of the friction body is connected to a friction body carrier. A friction body, in particular a wet friction disc in a motor vehicle, is also provided.
