Hybrid electric vehicle and touchpoint learning method therefor
A hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) includes an engine, a first motor directly connected to the engine through a first shaft, a second motor directly connected to a second shaft, and an engine clutch of which one end is connected to the first shaft and the other end is connected to the second shaft so as to selectively connect the first shaft and the second shaft. The (HEV) includes a first controller unit configured to control each of the first motor and the second motor and a second controller unit configured to determine whether a preconfigured touch point learning condition is satisfied, control the first and second motors to respective first and second speeds when the learning condition is satisfied, and learn a touch point of the engine clutch on the basis of a torque change of the first motor or the second motor.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE BITING POINT OF A HYBRID DISCONNECT CLUTCH OF A HYBRID VEHICLE
A method determines the biting point of a hybrid disconnect clutch of a hybrid vehicle. The hybrid disconnect clutch disconnects or connects an internal combustion engine and a first electric motor, which is arranged on the output side. A second electric motor, which is arranged on the internal combustion engine side and is rigidly connected to the internal combustion engine, is operated at a constant rotational speed during electric travel by means of the first electric motor. The hybrid disconnect clutch is moved from the open state toward the closed state and the load on the second electric motor is monitored. When the load on the second electric motor reaches a predefined load threshold value, it is determined that the biting point has been reached.

Calibration method for a slip control arrangement of a driveline including a continuously variable transmission
A calibration method for a slip control arrangement of a driveline including a continuously variable transmission is described herein. The driveline includes a clutch that is so controlled as to slip when a torque higher than the usable torque attempts to pass through. Accordingly, the clutch prevents the prime mover from stalling. A calibration method to link a valve command value and a torque allowed to pass through the clutch includes preventing the vehicle from moving and increasing the pressure applied in the clutch while noting the torque % value developed by the prime mover.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CHARACTERIZING A CLUTCH
Methods and systems for operating a clutch of an axle are provided. In one example, the clutch may be characterized in static or dynamic conditions. The clutch characterization may be a basis for subsequently operating the clutch during gearbox shifting. In particular, an amount of torque that is transferred via the clutch may be controlled or adjusted according to the clutch characterization.
METHOD FOR ADAPTING AN ENGAGEMENT POINT OF A VEHICLE CLUTCH
A method for adapting an engagement point of a disconnect clutch that can be moved between at least one engaged state, in which an output shaft of an internal combustion engine for propelling a vehicle is coupled by way of the disconnect clutch to a rotor of an electric machine for propelling the vehicle, and at least one disengaged state, in which the output shaft is decoupled from the rotor.

OPERATING A CLUTCH DEVICE
A clutch device has at least a multiplicity of clutch discs which are in frictional contact with one another, and a control unit which controls the clutch device. The clutch device is calibrated repeatedly during an operating time of the clutch device. A first calibration is performed at a first point in time. A second calibration is performed at a second point following the first calibration. The first point in time and the second point in time are within a first operating time of the clutch device and occur within a first time interval. At least a third calibration is performed in a subsequent second operating time at a third point in time. At least the second calibration is performed within a second interval of the third point in time. The first and second intervals are determined by the control unit based on a mileage of a vehicle or an energy input into the clutch device. The first interval is shorter than the second interval.
