TORQUE FLUCTUATION INHIBITING DEVICE, TORQUE CONVERTER AND POWER TRANSMISSION DEVICE
20180163815 · 2018-06-14 ·

A torque fluctuation inhibiting device includes a mass body, first and second centrifugal elements, and first and second cam mechanisms. The mass body is rotatable with a rotor and is also rotatable relatively to the rotor. Each of the first and second centrifugal elements receives a centrifugal force to be generated by rotation of the rotor and the mass body. When a relative displacement is produced between the rotor and the mass body in a rotational direction, the first cam mechanism converts the centrifugal force that acts on the first centrifugal element into a first circumferential force directed to reduce the relative displacement. When the relative displacement is produced between the rotor and the mass body in the rotational direction, the second cam mechanism converts the centrifugal force that acts on the second centrifugal element into a second circumferential force directed to reduce the relative displacement.

Pendulum assembly for a crankshaft pendulum having cast-in near net shape hardened inserts

A pendulum crankshaft for an internal combustion engine includes a pendulum crankshaft having pendulum crank rolling path inserts that are cast into the component during the casting process. The rolling path inserts are positioned in a mold prior to casting. By including the rolling path inserts in the component during the molding process, the need to press the rolling path insert into the component after the component is cast is thus avoided, thereby eliminating the resulting stresses that would otherwise result. Machining and subsequent heat treatment are unnecessary. The component can be one or both of the crankshaft pendulum and the pendulum carrier. The rolling path may be formed from a metal such as sintered powdered metal. The flowable material may be a metal such as iron. The resulting component is free of stress regions, such as on the carrier strap, that normally result from methods that involve press-fitting the rolling path insert into the component.

Pendulum crank cycloid insert for pendulum crankshaft having integral carrier

A pendulum crankshaft for an internal combustion engine includes a pendulum crankshaft having pendulum crank cycloid inserts. The inserts may be formed from high graded hardened steel while the crankshaft may be formed from conventional iron. The pendulum crankshaft includes a crankshaft having pendulum-holding ears. A cycloid insert-receiving aperture is formed in each of said ears for receiving a cycloid insert. Each of the cycloid inserts has a cycloid path formed therethrough. The pendulum is movably attached to the ears by a rolling pin fitted through the cycloid paths of the ears and captured between the cycloid paths formed in each half of the pendulum. Each half of the pendulum includes recessed areas on which the cycloid paths are formed. A pin is provided between each cycloid insert and the ear into which it is inserted to restrict rotation of the cycloid insert with respect to the ear.

Power transmission device and lock-up device for torque converter

The power transmission device transmits power from an engine to a transmission and includes an input-side rotary member, an output-side rotary member, a first elastic member, a float member and a damper device. The input-side rotary member receives the power inputted thereto from the engine. The output-side rotary member outputs the power to the transmission. The first elastic member couples the input-side rotary member and the output-side rotary member to enable relative rotation therebetween. The float member is rotatable relative to the input-side rotary member, the output-side rotary member and the first elastic member and is configured to slide against the first elastic member when rotated. The damper device is mounted to the float member and includes an inertia member that is rotatable relative to the float member.

Image forming apparatus including plurality of stations providing improved access for maintenance of the image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of stations and a plurality of stays arranged along a first direction; and a first board support member supporting a first electric board. Each of the plurality of stations includes: a rotation shaft extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction; and a photosensitive member and a flywheel provided to the rotation shaft. The first board support member is attached to two of the plurality of stays so as to bridge a gap between the two stays, and provided, in the second direction, on a first side opposite to a second side of the flywheel on which the photosensitive member is provided. The first board support member overlaps with the flywheel of at least one of the plurality of stations when viewed from a viewpoint along the second direction.

ROBUST PENDULUM CRANK BUMPER

A bumper clip having rubber or elastomeric bumpers for use with a pendulum assembly for attachment to the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The bumper clip is has particular application for use with pendulum carriers that are formed from stamped steel. By using the stamped steel carrier, more room is created to provide a more robust bumper. The pendulum carrier bumper clip can be either two separate, L-shaped clips or a single U-shaped clip. If the pendulum carrier bumper clip includes two separate clips, each clip includes a bumper surface to which the bumper is attached and an attachment leg for attachment of the clip to the pendulum carrier and to the crankshaft by a fastener such as a bolt. The bumper surface has a channel through which the pendulum carrier passes, thus dividing the bumper surface into two surfaces. A bumper is attached to each surface.

Pendulum-absorber brake

A crankshaft comprising a cheek, a torsion-absorbing pendulum pivotally coupled to the cheek, and a rotational speed actuated brake to oppose motion of the pendulum relative to the cheek. The brake is configured to provide greater opposition to the motion at lower rotational speeds than at higher rotational speeds.
