An actuator has: a motor section; a ball spline having a finite stroke and equipped with a shaft capable of moving along its axis; an external screw thread formed on the shaft; a nut section having an internal screw thread engaging the external screw thread and operating to transmit the rotary force of the motor section to the shaft; and a case housing the motor section and the ball spline. The shaft has a contact section at its front end, the contact section being designed to make contact with the driven object. The contact section is lower than the shaft in thermal conductivity. Due to heat generated by the motor section, the shaft elongates along the axis of the shaft in a first direction, and the case elongates along the axis of the shaft in a second direction opposite to the first direction.

Electric actuator for marine steering system

An electric actuator comprises a housing and an output shaft reciprocatingly received by the housing. There is a screw assembly disposed within the housing and coupled to the output shaft. The screw assembly includes a plurality of annular rollers and a central screw received by the annular rollers. The annular rollers are rotatable about the central screw. There is a motor which includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor has an inner bore which engages the annular rollers. Rotation of the rotor causes the central screw to translate axially relative to the rotor and the output shaft to reciprocate relative to the housing.

Position sensor assembly

A rotary position sensor assembly (10) for detecting the angular position of the rotor (104) of a motor. The assembly (10) includes at least one sensor (12) and a sensor target (14) which is moveable relative to the sensor (12). The sensor target (14) comprises a tubular body (16) with a plurality of integrally-formed radially-extending sections (18). The invention relates to a drive device (V) for producing a translational motion of a movable tappet (8) by means of an electromagnetic rotating machine, comprising at least one rotor (4) and one stator (5), which is arranged coaxial to the rotor (4), having at least one movement-thread pair integrated coaxially in the stator, said movement-thread pair comprising a lead screw (6), which is coupled to the rotor (4) for conjoint rotation, and a threaded nut (7), which is linearly guided in a stator sleeve (2) in a rotationally fixed manner and is rigidly coupled to the tappet (8), the rotor (4) being guided for rotation around the stator (5), a torque being transferred from the rotor (4) to the lead screw (8) by means of a thin-walled flange (10), a rotational fixation (11) of the threaded nut (7) in the cavity of the stator sleeve (2) being provided as a result of interlocking joining of the two.

VEHICLE BRAKE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DETECTING PISTON LOCATION OF A PLUNGER ASSEMBLY

A method of determining a homing position of a piston within a plunger assembly for a vehicle brake system at the beginning of an ignition cycle of the vehicle includes first providing a plunger assembly having a housing defining a bore therein. The plunger assembly includes a piston slidably disposed in the bore for pressurizing fluid within a pressure chamber when the piston is moved in a first direction. The plunger assembly further includes an electrically operated linear actuator for moving the piston within the bore. The method further includes providing electrical power to the linear actuator of the plunger assembly. The linear actuator is actuated to retract the piston in a second direction opposite the first direction towards an end stop. The piston engaging with the end stop is then detected.

Piston pump assembly for a hydraulic power vehicle braking system
10941764 · 2021-03-09 · ·

A piston pump assembly for a hydraulic power vehicle braking system including an electric motor, a planetary gear set, a helical gear, and a piston which is displaceable in a cylinder. To prevent the piston from rotating in the cylinder, cylinder pins are situated in grooves at an inner side of the cylinder and engage with the recesses in a flange of the piston. Due to reshaping, the grooves are closed at one end, so that the cylinder pins are axially secured.
