In a ball screw apparatus, a ball train including a plurality of main balls is housed in a raceway between a ball track of a ball nut and a ball track of a ball screw shaft. A coil spring housed in the raceway includes a first end that engages with an end of the ball train and a second end supported by a stopper (a first recessed portion, a protruding portion, or the like) of the ball nut. A stopper ball having a diameter larger than the diameter of the main ball is interposed between the stopper and the second end of the coil spring.

A steering assembly includes a rack and an adjustment assembly. The rack has a first side surface, a second side surface disposed opposite the first side surface, a first surface extending between the first side surface and the second side surface, and a second surface disposed opposite the first surface. The adjustment assembly is arranged to apply orthogonal biasing forces to a pair of orthogonal surfaces of the non-cylindrical steering rack.

BALL SCREW MECHANISM

Ball screws are disclosed, such as a ball screw having a spindle nut which is arranged on a threaded spindle and in which balls are received which roll along ball tracks of the spindle nut and the threaded spindle, and having a first stop element associated with the spindle nut and a second stop element associated with the threaded spindle, wherein at least one stop element has a resiliently deformable body.

A ball screw assembly for use in an actuator is provided. The ball to screw assembly may include a ball screw supported for rotation by the actuator. A ball nut may be provided around the ball screw and may be held against rotation with the ball screw by said actuator. A primary load path may be provided between the ball screw and the ball nut for operatively coupling the ball nut with the ball screw. A secondary load path may be provided between the ball screw and the ball nut, wherein the secondary load path can be disengaged during a normal operating mode of the ball screw assembly and the secondary load path can be engaged during a second operating mode of the ball screw assembly.

There is provided a ball screw that is used to apply a preload to balls and that has a configuration of achieving a balance between the cooling efficiency and ease of assembly and disassembly. To this end, the ball screw includes a screw shaft, and a plurality of nuts movable relative to the screw shaft in an axial direction. Each of the nuts includes flow channels, which are cooling mechanisms and which respectively serve as independent channels to allow a cooling medium to pass through them. These flow channels are provided symmetrically with respect to a space between the nuts, and are configured so that the cooling medium can independently circulate in each of the nuts.

A system includes a linear guide, drive device, spindle nut and spindle extending along an axis. The spindle nut is arranged on the spindle, with the spindle nut and spindle engaged. The drive device connects to the spindle nut in a torque-proof manner to rotate the spindle nut about the axis, moving the spindle parallel to the axis. The spindle has a spindle groove extending parallel to the axis on an outer circumferential side. The linear guide includes a guide housing arranged in a torque-proof manner, and a ledge element. The guide housing has a radially outwardly extending receptacle. The ledge element includes a radially outwardly disposed carrier and a ledge radially inwardly of the carrier, connected to the carrier and extending parallel to the axis. The ledge element engages the carrier in the receptacle and the ledge in the spindle groove, guiding the spindle parallel to the axis.

Ball screw drive and method for operating a ball screw drive

A ball screw drive, in particular for a parking brake, comprises a threaded spindle, a spindle nut, and rolling bodies, namely balls, which are arranged in a thread turn between the threaded spindle and the spindle nut. Spring elements are arranged in the thread turn between nut-side stops. There is at least one setting of the threaded spindle and the spindle nut in which the balls and the spring elements are arranged in the thread turn with backlash.

Two flat surface portions are provided on portions of a rack shaft away from rack teeth and a back surface in the circumferential direction. The two flat surface portions are parallel to each other. A rotation stopping member has a case and a low-friction member. The hollow portion provided inside the case includes two flat surface portions that face each other in a direction Y and extend in parallel with each other, and two flat surface portions that face each other in a direction Z and extend orthogonally to the flat surface portions. A slight clearance is provided between the outer surface of the rack shaft and the inner surface of the rotation stopping member (low-friction member). The rotation stopping member is disposed on the outer periphery of the rack shaft. The outer periphery of the rotation stopping member is fixed to the inner periphery of a rack housing.
