Seal and a tubular heat exchanger using such seal

A seal including a first portion having a first width that extends in a radial direction of the seal, a second portion that is joined with the first portion and having a second width that is smaller than the first width, and a first recess that is located in the first portion to reduce a width expansion of the first portion when the seal is compressed in an axial direction of the seal.

There is proposed an annular seal for a pipe coupling, comprising, a lower portion beatable within an upwardly open annular groove in the pipe coupling, an upper portion having an upwardly facing abutment surface, a depending skirt and a stiffening ring. The depending skirt is configured for engagement over a circular upstand of the pipe coupling, which is located inwardly of the annular groove. The stiffening ring is located within the upper portion of the annular seal, and includes an annular portion that is generally parallel with and spaced apart from the abutment surface and at least one circumferential leg depending from the annular portion that provides reinforcement for the depending leg.

Gasket seal for spin-on filter housing

Briefly, the present invention relates, in one embodiment, to a gasket for sealing a filter housing to a filter mount. The gasket may have an upper body and a lower body which seals between the filter housing and filter head. The gasket may include chamfered surfaces to allow for properly sealing against manufacturing tolerances, and may include an annular groove which receives the filter housing and stabilizes the gasket during installation.

A fluid transfer connector securely connects a port fitting of a fluid device to a fluid hose. The fluid transfer connector includes an attachment member attachable to the port fitting of the fluid storage device. The fluid transfer connector further includes a hose adapter including a housing with a seal that wipes and sealingly engages the port fitting when the hose adapter is engaged to the attachment member.

LOW PROFILE OUTER BELT SEAL WITH IMPROVED RETENTION

Systems and methods are presented herein for providing a low-profile outer belt seal that has features enabling high levels of retention to a vehicle door assembly. The outer belt seal comprises a linear insert that has two exterior opposite sides. On at least one of the exterior opposite sides, a gripping structure protrudes to enable a friction-based connection between the outer belt seal and a wall of an opening into which the lower extending portion is inserted. A sealing lip extends from the linear insert and is arranged to make contact with a movable window capable of translating vertically proximate to the belt seal. The sealing lip creates a sealing surface that prevents water translating down the moveable window into a door assembly.

SEALING DEVICE

An elastic body includes an annular main body portion to be disposed in an annular gap, a seal lip portion extending from a portion, closer to an object to be sealed, of the main body portion and being to be in contact with an inner member, a flange portion extending outwardly from an end, opposite to the object to be sealed, of the main body portion and including a first side closer to the object to be sealed, the first side being to be in contact with an outer member, a side lip portion extending from the end opposite to the object to be sealed in a direction away from the object to be sealed, and a projecting portion formed circumferentially on a second side, opposite to the object to be sealed, of the flange portion. The side lip portion has a back surface configured to be in contact with the projecting portion in response to the side lip portion being pressed by a mating member disposed opposite to the object to be sealed.

Resin molded article for seal

The resin molded article includes a main body part configured to be mounted to a car body panel, a cantilever-shaped seal part for sealing a gap in the car body panel, and a hollow tubular-shaped seal part. The seal part is in resilient contact with the car body panel in a state of being mounted to the car body panel. The seal part is molded from a thermoplastic elastomer containing 25 wt % or more of an olefin block copolymer. It is preferable that the thermoplastic elastomer also contains a dynamically crosslinked olefin-based elastomer in addition to the olefin block copolymer.

Seal member

A seal for sealing between first and second grooves, the seal comprising a first sealing part for sealing against the first groove and a second sealing part extending from the first seal, the second sealing part having a convex cross-section relative to the seal for providing at least two sealing contact points against the second groove. The second sealing part provides a mandibular structure with chin-like protrusions which may improve conformation to the natural surface irregularities of the sealing surfaces.

ELASTOMER SEAL SPRING

The seal spring of the present invention has a dual functionality. The seal spring provides both a sealing property and spring function in use within an electrical connector system, which is accomplished by its elastomeric qualities, The seal spring is preferably comprised of Silicone, EPDM rubber or materials and compositions that provide similar performance during use, or the like. The seal spring of the present invention is not limited or defined into a spring section or a seal section by its geometry. Shown is an implementation of the seal spring within a conductive female housing and connector assembly. The seal spring compresses and provides adequate spring force against a disk ferrule assembly, pressing the disk ferrule assembly, with a wire shield, against a conductive female outer housing, providing a grounding scheme for the connector assembly. The seal spring also seals against the female outer housing and a wire.

Dual barrier seal

An annular dual barrier seal includes a pair of axially extending inner seal lips and a pair of axially extending outer seal lips, the pair of inner seal lips are connected to the pair of outer seal lips by a radially outwardly extending web portion. The pair of inner seal lips extend axially by a first dimension and the pair of outer seal lips extend axially by a second dimension which is greater than the first dimension. The pair of inner seal lips have a sealing surface that is one of partially toroidal and partially elliptical and that engage the radially inwardly facing first sealing surface and the pair of outer seal lips have a sealing surface that is one of partially toroidal, partially elliptical and conical.
