Shape Measuring Device for Hose Connector Fitting
Provided is a shape measuring device for a hose connector fitting. Two-dimensional shape detection units detect radial position data of a surface of a socket in radial direction with respect to an axial center of a hose connector fitting along a direction parallel with the axial center of the hose connector fitting completely across a circumference of the socket. The measurement data relates to the surface of the socket, including outer diameters, crimping positions, crimping claw remaining widths, roundness, and cylindricity of the socket.
ENHANCED HOSE FITTING AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY
A hose fitting (10) includes a nipple (12) with a first end that is insertable into a hose and a second opposite end (22), nipple mating threads (38) located between the first (18) and second ends (22), and a shoulder (42) located between the mating threads and the second end (22) and that projects radially outward relative to the nipple (12) mating threads. A nut (16) is positioned over the second end (22) of the nipple (12). A shell (14) is positioned over the first end of the nipple (12) and includes shell mating threads (48), wherein the shell is threaded onto the nipple (12) by a threaded connection of the nipple mating threads (38) and the shell mating threads (48). The shoulder (42) operates to prevent further rotation of the shell (14), and the resulting torque locks the shell (14) in place and provides a seal against leakage from the fitting assembly. The nipple (12) includes a planar surface (40) that extends from the mating threads (38) to a second planar surface (26) that meet to form the shoulder (42).
Tube made of elastomeric material for a system which is on-board of a motor-vehicle
A tube of elastomeric material for an air conditioning system or for other system which is on-board of a motor-vehicle is intended to be fitted over a metal connecting element and to be locked onto the latter by means of a crimping operation that envisages the clamping around the tube of a metal clamping element. The tube includes at least one body made of polymeric elastomeric material supplemented with carbon-based nanofillers wherein an outer surface with one or more piezo-resistive areas is provided, where the polymeric material supplemented with carbon-based nanofillers has been made locally piezo-resistive by means of laser irradiation. The piezo-resistive areas arranged on the body of polymeric elastomeric material of the tube can be used for verifying the correct execution of the crimping operation.
SYSTEM FOR CONNECTING AND SEALING FLEXIBLE AND RIGID PIPES UNDER HIGH PRESSURE
A system for connecting and sealing flexible and rigid pipes under high pressure comprises a flexible pipe, rigid pipes, and transition connectors, wherein two ends of each transition connector are respectively connected with the flexible pipe and one rigid pipe, external sides of the flexible pipe and the transition connectors are coated with a rubber layer, and buckling sleeves are buckled on the rubber layer outside the transition connectors. Compared with the prior, the system can greatly improve the sealing performance of the flexible pipe and the rigid pipes, and thus can be used under high-low temperature and high-pressure atmospheres and be applied to air-conditioning pipes of new-energy vehicles.
Hoses and hose adaptors
A hose end adaptor for holding an inner component to be nested within an outer tube of a hose includes a first support portion for receiving the outer tube and a second support portion on which a component to be nested within the outer tube is mountable.
Flexible hose with improved over-molded cuffs and methods of making same
A hose assembly is formed with a flexible helical hose body, a termination ring secured to an end, and over-molded plastic. The termination ring includes a main ring, a secondary ring, and connector members, each configured to span between and be integrally connected with the main and secondary rings. The main ring has an inside surface formed to threadably couple to a corresponding helical portion of the hose body, and be positioned at least two to three turns away from the hose end. The length of the connector members positions the secondary ring at least two turns closer to the hose end. Each connector member has outwardly protruding ridges. Plastic is over-molded to encapsulate the first end of the hose body, to encapsulate the secondary ring and each connector member, and to encapsulate a portion of the main ring, while extending beyond the hose end to form a soft cuff.
Hose connection
A hose connection has: a tubular body with a first end and a second end; a shrink sleeve arranged around the first end of the tubular body for crimping and thereby clamping a hose end on the first end of the tubular body; and an adhesive layer arranged on the outer surface of the first end of the tubular body and at least enveloping the first end in tangential direction.
Hose line and method for producing a hose line
A hose line and a method for producing the same. The hose line (1) has a hose connection (3) which has a connection piece having a connection nipple. A hose end of a flexible hose (2) is pushed onto the connection nipple. The hose connection (3) also has a crimp sleeve (6) which immovably clamps the hose end between itself and the connection nipple in the longitudinal direction of the nipple. There are at least two tool contact surfaces on the hose connection (3), arranged on opposite sides of the hose connection (3), preferably allocated to each other in pairs and in particular designed as wrench contact surfaces (7). The at least two tool contact surfaces of the hose connection (3), which are allocated to each other in pairs, are on the crimp sleeve (6). A ratio of a length of the crimp sleeve (6) to an outside diameter of the flexible hose is 1.5:1 to 3:1.
Fluid connector with pre-positioned crimping collar
A fluid connection set includes a connector (1), a flexible hose (2), and a crimping collar (5) for fixing the front end of the flexible hose to the connector, the connector including a connector body (10), a tubular nozzle (3), the tubular nozzle including retaining radial projections (31) of the hose as well as a clamping area (30) of the hose, and a temporary accommodation space (4), arranged between the tubular nozzle (3) and the connector body (10), for housing the collar during the operation of inserting the flexible tube, after which the collar is moved with respect to the clamping area and then crimped.
Hose coupler
A hose coupler generally includes a hose adapter including opposing ends, an interior surface forming a fluid passage between the opposed ends, and an exterior surface including a series of barbs for engaging an interior surface of a hose that is configured to be fluidly connected to the hose adapter. A ferrule is connected to the hose adapter and is positioned to at least partially surround the exterior surface of the hose adapter. The ferrule has an interior surface facing the exterior surface of the hose adapter. The interior surface defines at least one cutting rib having a sharp corner or edge for piercing an outer layer of the hose and a plurality of compression ribs each defining a rounded surface for compressing the hose against the barbs.
