A pipe may include a pipe body having an axis, an axial bore and a pipe body outer diameter. A male end may be formed on the pipe body. The male end can have an outer diameter consistent with the pipe body outer diameter, and an axial end face. A female end may be formed as an integral bell on the pipe body opposite the male end. The female end may have an inner diameter that is larger than the outer diameter of the male end, a seal recess on an interior thereof, and an interior feature in the interior of the female end that is complementary to the axial end face of the male end. The female end of a first pipe may be configured to receive the male end of a second pipe, such that the interior feature of the first pipe engages and restrains the axial end face of the second pipe. A coupling may be used to join two of the pipes.

PIPE CONNECTOR

An apparatus for connecting two pipes in fluid communication is provided. The apparatus comprises a connector body having opposing open ends, each open end configured for receiving a free end of a pipe; a mechanical interlock arrangement, for preventing or limiting axial movement of the connector body relative to a free end of a pipe when the free end of the pipe is received in an open end of the connector body; and a mechanical seal arrangement for providing a metal-to-metal seal between a pipe inserted into one of said open ends and the connector body.

A FILTER ELEMENT FOR A VEHICLE

The filter element includes a filter medium having an axis and forming a channel extending substantially axially, a first and a second end plates, each end plate covering one axial end of the filter medium and being sealingly mounted on the axial end, the first end plate having an opening in fluid communication with the channel, whereby a liquid to be filtered can flow through the filter medium towards the channel and out of the filter element through the opening, or reversely. The filter element further includes a protrusion fixedly secured to the first end plate and extending outwardly from the first end plate, the protrusion being substantially tubular and having a through hole in fluid communication with the first end plate opening, the protrusion forming a female coupling piece of a male-female connector, and a locking member capable of releasably locking a male coupling piece of the male-female connector in the female coupling piece.

COUPLING FOR FORMING A SEALED JOINT BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND TUBULAR MEMBERS
20190154175 · 2019-05-23 · ·

The invention concerns a coupling for use in forming a sealed joint between first and second tubular members. The coupling provides a through-passage defined by an inner coupling face and having a first open end for insertion of the first tubular member into a first region of the through-passage and a second open end for insertion of the second tubular member into a second region of the through-passage. A first inwardly directed engagement recess is provided in the inner coupling face in the first region of the through-passage and a second inwardly directed engagement recess is provided in the inner coupling face in the second region of the passage. In the assembled joint, the first inwardly directed engagement recess aligns with a first outwardly directed engagement recess of the first tubular member to form a first channel for receipt of a first retainer to secure the first tubular member in the coupling. The second inwardly directed recess aligns with a second outwardly directed engagement recess of the second tubular member to form a second channel for receipt of a second retainer to secure the second tubular member in the coupling. The first region of the through-passage has a larger diameter than the second region of the through-passage.

A Detachable Tube Coupling System comprised of a plurality of base and coupling modules formed with a mechanical interface which includes a locking line, an inner tube and having an exterior surface with a circumferential interior groove, an O-ring and an outer tube formed with a circumferential interior groove in the interior surface and an exterior notch formed in the outer tube in communication with the interior groove.

CONNECTION DEVICE
20190040985 · 2019-02-07 · ·

A connection device (1) for at least one plug-in portion (3) comprising an annular external groove (2) comprises a housing (7), into which at least one plug-in portion (3) can be plugged, and also at least in each case one integral locking element (9) and a securing device (15). A locking element (9) comprises a securing portion (11) and a locking portion (10) which can be preassembled in the housing (7). In the preassembled state, the locking portion (10), by elastic deflection, permits a plug-in portion (3) to be plugged into the housing (7) and brings about the locking of said plug-in portion in the housing (7). By means of the securing device (15), the securing portion (11) can be secured on an outer side of the housing opening (13) against displacement in a circumferential direction (14). A securing device (15) is designed as a ring which engages around the housing (7) and is movable on said housing (7) at least axially counter to a resistance and has an axial recess (16) in a plugging-in direction (8). A cam (17) arranged on the securing portion (11) of the locking element (9) engages in said recess (16), as a result of which displacement of the locking element (9) in relation to the securing device (15) is prevented.
