COMPOSITE SLEEVE FOR FORMING A CURE IN PLACE PIPE, COMPOSITE PIPES, AND MATERIALS AND METHODS THEREOF
20230256703 · 2023-08-17 ·

The invention relates to composite sleeves for producing a cured in place pipe, to materials and methods for producing the composite sleeve, to methods for repairing a native pipe with the composite sleeve, and to improved cured in place pipes. The composite sleeve has multiple layers including a core layer of a curable one-part resin composition. The curable one-part resin composition is a solid material at 25° C. Preferably the resin composition is pliable at 25° C. so that it can be flexed during manufacturing and/or during installation in a native pipe.

REHABILITATION PACKER FOR PIPE AND SEWER REHABILITATION
20230250912 · 2023-08-10 ·

A rehabilitation packer for pipe and sewer rehabilitation that includes a balloon-like expandable and tubular sleeve that can be pressurized with a pressurized medium. The sleeve is respectively sealed at both its ends with an end plug and has a peripheral lining insert at both its ends which limits an expansion of the sleeve. The respective lining insert has material recesses running in the axial direction and mutually peripherally spaced from each other starting from its peripherally sealed initial area which is adjacent to the respective end plug and insert extensions are configured between the material recesses. A sleeve for use in such a rehabilitation packer is also described.

METHOD OF LINING BRANCH AREA IN PIPELINE
20230249393 · 2023-08-10 ·

A method of lining a branch area in a pipeline using an inflatable bladder. The method includes steps of preparing a branch liner with resin and positioning the branch liner in a pipeline, inflating the bladder and running a flow of air and steam through the bladder while monitoring its temperature. After curing of the resin, temperature of the liner is monitored and the bladder is removed only after proper cooling of the liner.

Compression apparatus

A compression apparatus (10) for compressing a tubular structure (12) to be formed into a hollow structure (20) such as a pipe comprises contact elements (60) arranged in two sets, (61, 62). The contact elements (60) are adapted to move along a compression section (41) in a coordinated sequence, whereby a portion (12a) of the tubular structure (12) within the compression section (41) is compressed between pairs (63) of opposed contact elements. The apparatus (10) includes registration means (110) for causing respective pairs (63) of opposed contact elements (60) to be maintained in registration with each other while moving along the compression section (41).

METHOD FOR REHABILITATING A PIPELINE WITH A LINER
20220018482 · 2022-01-20 · ·

A method for rehabilitating a pipeline with a liner includes providing a coupling member to connect a liner to a pipeline element. A first alignment element is connected to an end of the host pipe and a second alignment element to an end of the coupling member to axially align both components. A length of the liner is provided through the pipe and the coupling member to expose a joining section of the liner outside the pipe. The coupling member is brought towards the pipe such that the first and second alignment elements mate and the joining section of the liner is received in the coupling member. The joining section of the liner is pressurized to engage an interior surface of the coupling member, and a curable resin composition of the liner is cured to form a functional joint between the coupling member and the liner joining section.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSTALLING INFIELD FLEXIBLE LINER OF DOWNHOLE TUBING

A method of lining a tube using a spoolable liner. The method includes: connecting a connector to a distal end of the spoolable liner; inserting the connector and spoolable liner into the tube and advancing the connector to a tube engagement point at an interior of the tube; forming a distal connection between the spoolable liner and the tube by attaching the connector to an engagement mechanism at the tube engagement point; establishing a proximal end of the spoolable liner; forming a proximal connection between the proximal end of the spoolable liner and the tube; plugging the spoolable liner with a deployable plug in a vicinity of the distal end; plugging the spoolable liner with a termination in a vicinity of the proximal end; and filling an interior area defined by an interior of the spoolable liner, the termination, and the deployable plug with a fluid such that the fluid expands the spoolable liner against an interior wall of the tube.
