IN-SITU DEPLOYMENT DEVICE
An in-situ deployment device (20) for transporting an expandable sleeve (4) inside of a pipe (1, 2) and for applying it in on the inside of the pipe (1, 2), wherein the expandable sleeve (4) comprises a backing layer (5) and an adhesive layer (6) and wherein the adhesive layer (6) faces the outside when the sleeve is positioned on the deployment device (20) while being transported through the pipe (1, 2), the deployment device (20) comprising: an inflatable section (21) for carrying and expanding the expandable sleeve (4) and a positioning section (22) for positioning the deployment device (20) at the correct location inside of the pipe (1, 2), wherein the inflatable section (21) and the positioning section (22) are connected such with each other that the two sections (21, 22) can move relative to each other.
METHOD OF SEALING A PIPE
The invention relates to a method for preparing a pipe for a continuous spray lining process, the method comprising the following steps: providing an inflatable packer (3); providing an expandable sleeve (4) with a conformable backing layer (5) and an adhesive layer (6); wrapping the expandable sleeve around the packer with the adhesive layer facing the outside; inflating the inflatable packer until it reaches a first diameter (D.sub.1), wherein the first diameter is smaller than the inner diameter (d) of the pipe section, thereby expanding the stretching sleeve, inserting the inflated packer with the expanded sleeve into the pipe (1, 2) until it reaches the pipe section to be sealed; and further inflating the packer until it reaches a second diameter (D.sub.2), thereby further stretching the expandable sleeve; wherein the second diameter is reached when the expanded sleeve touches the inner diameter (d) of the pipe section.
Spinner assembly for applying lining materials in pipes
A spinner apparatus for applying lining material to the interior of a pipe, the spinner apparatus having a cylindrical material accelerator coaxially positioned about a distribution manifold, the distribution manifold having a plurality of equally spaced, radially oriented slots extending from an axial chamber that receives lining material, wherein lining material is extruded through the slots onto the interior of the material accelerator and slung onto the pipe interior in an annular pattern. Movement of the spinner apparatus along the pipe produces a tubular lining member.
Pipe reconditioning system
A pipeline reconditioning system and process is provided for reconditioning corroded or damaged pipelines. The reconditioning system includes a mobile topside unit storing and providing reservoirs and supplies of substances used in the pipeline reconditioning and the equipment for the reconditioning system, a management and towing units that are securely anchored in the pipeline at remote access points, and a towed delivery system array that includes a deployment sled that processes the substances and dispenses the reconditioning material, such as a composite epoxy resin with chopped glass or basalt filament fibers, between access points to the pipeline interior.
METHOD AND INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) SYSTEM FOR CORROSION SUPERVISION OF GAS PIPELINE
A method and an Internet of Things system for corrosion supervision of a gas pipeline are provided. The method includes: obtaining inspection data of a gas pipeline in a gas pipeline network; constructing a first pipeline diagram of the gas pipeline network based on the inspection data; determining a corrosion probability of the gas pipeline based on the first pipeline diagram using a corrosion probability model; determining one or more estimated pipeline corrosion regions based on the corrosion probability of the gas pipeline; obtaining in-depth inspection data of the gas pipeline by performing in-depth inspection on at least one of the estimated pipeline corrosion regions; determining corrosion features of the one or more estimated pipeline corrosion regions based on gas monitoring data and the in-depth inspection data of the gas pipeline; and determining a repair plan based on the one or more estimated pipeline corrosion regions and/or the corrosion features.
Interior plating and automated surface-deposition system
A new system has a plurality of modular segments flexibly attached to one other and a source of electrical power and plating and coating solutions at the rear of the plurality of modular segments. The plurality of modular segments include a drive stage configured to push the plurality of modular segments along a surface, a plating stage configured to apply the plating solution to the surface under a pre-set operating current density to deposit metal or metal alloy onto the surface, a surface treatment application stage configured to apply the coating solution to the surface, and a curing stage configured to cure the coating solution to form a final coating on the surface that is resistant to corrosion, chemical attacks and chemical buildup.
MULTI-LAYER LINER FOR WASTE WATER SYSTEM REHABILITATION
A method and apparatus for rehabilitating or repairing waste water system components or the like comprising a spray-applied, multi-layer liner which seals the components and imparts structural integrity. The liner comprises a first moisture barrier layer, a foam layer and a second moisture barrier layer. A primer may be applied where desired. Typically, the first and second moisture barrier layers are made of the same material for forming a skin on both sides of the foam layer. The combination of the foam layer and the two moisture barrier layers imparts structural strength and rigidity to the cured liner.
INTERNAL ANTICORROSIVE AND ABRASIVE RESISTANT PROTECTION COATING FOR STEEL PIPES
The present invention includes an inner anticorrosive and abrasive resistant coating (10) for steel pipes (1) used for the transport of fluids. The coating includes: a layer of epoxy resin (2) having free hydroxyl groups, which are applied directly to the inside 1a of the steel pipe (1); a layer of thermoplastic adhesive (3) applied directly onto the layer of epoxy resin; and a layer of polypropylene, which is directly applied onto the layer of adhesive.
Apparatus for delivering material to a pipe
Apparatus for the delivery of material to a pipe is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an inlet configured, in use, to receive a fluid flow, an outlet configured, in use, to deliver the fluid flow to a pipe and an instrument receiving location for, in use, receiving at least part of an instrument. The apparatus further comprises an access arrangement for, in use, selectively providing or preventing access to the instrument receiving location, wherein the inlet and/or the instrument receiving location is configured, in use, to be connected to at least one elongate flexible conduit.
