PIPE WITH AN OUTER WRAP
This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with an outer wrap. In one embodiment, a pipe includes an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. The pipe also includes an outer wrap applied to the outer wall. The outer wrap may include fibers and plastic. The outer wrap may span the corrugation crests producing a smooth outer surface.
A PROTECTIVE FILM
The present invention provides an adhesive protective film for protecting pipework, the film comprising: a protection layer; a release layer; and an adhesive between the protection and release layer. The release layer comprises a first plurality of uniformly spaced failure initiation locations provided along a first edge of the release layer for initiating tearing of the protective film; and the release layer is at least 50 μm thick.

Method, device and work station for applying protective sheeting of polymer material to a pipeline, and computer program for implementing such a method
A method of applying protective sheeting of polymer material to a pipeline, such as on a J-lay rig, includes the steps of driving a carriage along an annular path about the pipeline; extruding and simultaneously winding the protective sheeting about the pipeline via an end extrusion die fitted to the carriage; compressing the protective sheeting on the pipeline, directly downstream from the end extrusion die, so the protective sheeting adheres to the pipeline; and controlling the drive, extrusion, and compression steps so that the time lapse between expulsion of a cross section of protective sheeting from the end extrusion die and compression of the same cross section of protective sheeting is less than one second.
Anti-corrosion system comprising an at least one-layered first tape and at least one primer
The invention relates to an anti-corrosion system comprising an at least one-layered first tape, comprising at least one elastomer selected from the group comprising (block-) co- and/or terpolymers with at least one carbon-carbon double bond, as well as at least one cross-linking agent, selected from the group comprising at least one reactive resin, wherein the anti-corrosion system furthermore comprises at least one primer, comprising at least one catalyzing agent to activate the cross-linking agent.
Coated pipe and pipe combination
The invention relates to a pipe having a thermoplastic casing surface and a glass-fibre-reinforced thermo-setting coating surrounding the thermoplastic casing surface. The thermo-setting coating is formed from multiple layers of glass-fibre matting or glass-fibre fabric, or a combination of the two, wherein the layers are applied to the thermoplastic casing surface in a wet-on-wet method using a vinylester, polyester or epoxy resin. According to the invention, an outer layer of the thermo-setting coating is formed from cross-wound glass-fibre fleece or glass-fibre fabric.
Closure patch
A heat-shrink sleeve is provided for covering a pipe joint formed between two pipes that are coupled to one another to form a tube. The heat-shrink sleeve includes a heat-shrinkable material that is configured to conform to the first and second pipes when heated to cover the pipe joint.
PERFORATED POLYMERIC SHEET WITH UNDERLYING SPACERS
A new protective polymeric sheet is described wherein said polymeric sheet includes perforations and attached spacers that allow air and water circulation when the sheet is in use. The sheet protects underlying structures from damage while ensuring moisture migration between the protective polymeric sheet and the underlying structure. The protective polymeric sheet comprises a plurality of perforations extending through the sheet and a plurality of spacers, each spacer extending from a lower surface of the sheet adjacent to one side of each perforation. The spacers are created during perforation of the polymeric sheet. The protective polymeric sheet is useful in a number of applications, including without limitation: to protect pipelines; to replace geotextiles in heap leach processes; to line sandboxes and paving stones; to cover greenhouse floors; to make industrial or residential gutter caps; and as a filter.
USE OF A MINERAL WOOL PRODUCT
The present invention describes a mineral wool product comprising mineral fibers bound by a binder resulting from the curing of a binder composition comprising a hydrophobic agent comprising: at least one silicone compound, such as silicone resin, such as a reactive silicone resin, such as a reactive silicone resin chosen from the group of polyalkylethoxysiloxane, polymethylethoxysiloxane, polyphenylethoxysiloxane, polyphenylsiloxane, polyphenylmethylsiloxane; to inhibit corrosion when insulating metallic structures.
COMPOSITE REINFORCEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Systems and methods for reinforcing physical structures with composite reinforcement systems are disclosed herein. According to aspects of the present disclosure, a composite reinforcement system includes a carrier formed of a plurality of fibers and a blend of at least two reagents impregnated within the carrier. The at least two reagents are chemically configured to react to form a moisture-curable prepolymer. One reagent of the at least two reagents is an isocyanate, and another reagent of the at least two reagents is an aromatic-group-containing polyol
