PIPE WITH AN OUTER WRAP

This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with an outer wrap. In one embodiment, a pipe includes an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. The pipe also includes an outer wrap applied to the outer wall. The outer wrap may include fibers and plastic. The outer wrap may span the corrugation crests producing a smooth outer surface.

Strengthened polyethylene tubular member

A strengthened polyethylene tubular member, where the polyethylene tubular member has an outer surface, a circumference, a wall thickness, an area to be strengthened, and the outer surface of the polyethylene tubular member contains polyethylene. The strengthened polyethylene tubular member contains a fabric layer wrapped around the circumference of the tubular member at least two full rotations and covering the area to be strengthened. The fabric layer contains a plurality of interwoven tape elements with a base layer of a strain oriented olefin polymer disposed between covering layers of a heat fusible olefin polymer. The tape elements within the fabric layer are bonded together and the tape elements adjacent the tubular member are bonded to the tubular member.

Carriers for composite reinforcement systems and methods of use

Systems and methods for reinforcing structures with composite reinforcement systems are disclosed herein. According to aspects of the present disclosure, a carrier of a composite reinforcement system for repairing and/or reinforcing a physical structure is disclosed. The carrier includes a plurality of carbon fibers. Each carbon fiber has a longitudinal axis and a length extending in a generally 0 degree direction. The carrier further includes at least one fiberglass fiber having a longitudinal axis and a length extending in a generally 90 degree direction across the plurality of carbon fibers. The plurality of carbon fibers constitute at least about 70 wt % of the carrier and the at least one fiberglass fiber constitutes at most about 30 wt % of the carrier.
