ON-TANK REGULATOR FOR HIGH-PRESSURE TANK
A storage tank includes a tank wall, a pressure regulator, a low-pressure coupling, and a fill coupling. The tank wall of the storage tank is configured to contain a stored fluid at an internal pressure within the tank wall, the tank wall including an outer layer, an inner layer, and a regulator mount. The pressure regulator of the storage tank is connected to the regulator mount and is configured to receive a flow rate of the stored fluid and reduce the stored fluid from the internal pressure to an output pressure. The flow rate of the stored fluid is provided, via the low pressure coupling and at the output pressure to an external system. The fill coupling extends through the tank wall and receives the stored fluid from a fluid source to be stored within the storage tank
HIGH-PRESSURE TANK UNIT
A high-pressure tank unit capable of securing the sealing property of a sealing member in the neck of the high-pressure tank. The tank unit includes a high-pressure tank and a connecting member connected to the high-pressure tank. The connecting member has an annular sealing member disposed between a liner and an insert portion and adapted to seal a housing space. The high-pressure tank has a tubular body disposed between the liner and reinforcing layer in a position facing the sealing member so as to surround the outer peripheral surface of the liner, the tubular body adapted to restrict radial deformation of the inner peripheral surface of the neck. The longitudinal modulus of the material along the circumferential direction of the tubular body is higher than each of the longitudinal moduli of the materials along the circumferential direction of the liner and reinforcing layer.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STORAGE OF LIQUIDFIED AIR AT MODERATE TO HIGH INTERNAL PRESSURE
A liquified air storage system can include a container assembly. The container assembly can be disposed on a base. The container assembly can have an interior portion and an exterior portion. The interior portion can include a reinforced concrete layer and a steel liner. The exterior portion can be disposed adjacent to the interior portion, the exterior portion including prestressed wire. A method of assembling a liquified air storage system can include assembling an interior portion of a container assembly. The interior portion can have a reinforced concrete layer and a steel liner. Next, an exterior portion of the container assembly can be assembled on the interior portion. The exterior portion can include a composite material and prestressed wires. The exterior portion can be covered with an insulation layer.
SELF-SEALING PRESSURE VESSEL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A compressed gas storage system that includes a pressure vessel. The pressure vessel includes a first vessel portion and a second vessel portion in fluid communication with the first vessel portion. The pressure vessel includes a third vessel portion in fluid communication with the second vessel portion. The compressed gas storage system includes a first valve positioned between the first vessel portion and the second vessel portion and a second valve positioned between the second vessel portion and the third vessel portion. The first valve allows and impedes fluid flow between the first and the second vessel portions. The second valve allows and impedes fluid flow between the second and the third vessel portions.
Pressure vessel and pressure-vessel manufacturing method
A pressure vessel includes a liner including a cylindrical body and a dorm portion continuous with at least one end of the body in an axial direction and includes a reinforced fiber sheet covering an outer side of the liner and made of fabric. The reinforced fiber sheet includes first yarns arranged on the body and the dorm portion such that yarn main axes of the first yarns extend in the circumferential direction of the liner and second yarns arranged on the body and the dorm portion such that yarn main axes of the second yarns extend in the axial direction of the liner. A total number of the first yarns or the second yarns that exist per unit length in the axial direction of the liner is smaller in the dorm portion than in the body.
TANK HOLDING DEVICE
A tank holding device includes a band configured to tighten a hydrogen tank. The band includes a band-shaped base portion extending along an outer circumference of the hydrogen tank, a plurality of pressing portions projecting from both sides of the base portion in a width direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the base portion and configured to apply a pressing force to an outer peripheral surface of the hydrogen tank by elastically deforming in abutment against the outer peripheral surface of the hydrogen tank, and a deformation limiting portion configured to limit deformation of the pressing portions to a specified amount.
TANK HOLDING DEVICE
A tank holding device includes a band configured to tighten a hydrogen tank. The band includes a band-shaped base portion extending along an outer circumference of the hydrogen tank, and a plurality of pressing portions projecting from both sides of the base portion in a width direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the base portion and configured to apply a pressing force to an outer peripheral surface of the hydrogen tank by elastically deforming in abutment against the outer peripheral surface of the hydrogen tank. At least an elastic member is provided in a gap between the band and the hydrogen tank to fill the gap.
Flushable pressure vessel
A pressure vessel with a flushing lance, a transport container with pressure vessels and methods of filling and producing this pressure vessel are disclosed which comprises an inner vessel, an outer layer applied on the inner vessel, a valve connection piece arranged on one of the terminal caps of the inner vessel and a hollow flushing lance that is open to the outside and is guided through the valve connection piece and held therein in a sealing manner, wherein the flushing lance protrudes into the storage volume and is provided with a perforation along its entire length up to a first end of the flushing lance facing the terminal cap that lies opposite the valve connection piece in the storage volume for a gas exchange with the storage volume, wherein the flushing lance extends to the terminal cap which lies opposite the valve connection piece.
BLOW MOLDING DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF RESIN LINER FOR PRESSURE VESSEL USING THE SAME
To suppress the degradation of sealing property of a pressure vessel and the deterioration of a sealing member, and to reduce the workload and cost of manufacture, a blow molding device includes a pair of molds configured to be clamped to sandwich a parison from both lateral sides, and a blow pin configured to form a neck portion together with the molds. The blow pin includes a blow pin body portion having an outer circumferential surface of a shape corresponding to an inner circumferential surface of the neck portion, and a ring portion forming an annular recess portion between the blow pin body portion and the ring portion to form an outer circumferential surface of a tip portion of the neck portion, which is a smooth surface without any parting line.
