Further, the inner reinforcing layer includes a first covering portion, a third covering portion, and a second covering portion. Edge surfaces of the first covering portion and the third covering portion that face each other are in contact with each other. Edge surfaces of the third covering portion and the second covering portion that face each other are also in contact with each other. The outer reinforcing layer covers the outside of the first covering portion, the third covering portion, and the second covering portion.
Manufacturing method for high-pressure tank
A manufacturing method for a high-pressure tank includes joining a cylindrical member and dome members to each other so that a first reinforcing layer and a second reinforcing layer to which a cap is attached are formed, and after a resin material is poured inside the first reinforcing layer, rotating the first reinforcing layer so that the resin material covers an inner surface of the first reinforcing layer, and solidifying the resin material so that the liner is formed. The cap is attached to the first reinforcing layer so that a recessed portion in which the resin material is collected is formed between the cap and the first reinforcing layer. After the first reinforcing layer is rotated, the resin material is solidified in a state where the cap side is positioned on a lower side.
HIGH PRESSURE COMPOSITE PRESSURE VESSEL METHOD OF MANUFACTURE AND PRODUCT
A method of manufacturing a high-pressure composite pressure vessel for high-pressure being at or above 70 bar (1000 PSI or 7 MPa) includes providing an expandable core vessel defining a hoop section between end domes. An aligned discontinuous fiber composite material is wrapped over the expandable core vessel aligning with a plurality of load paths present in the expandable core vessel being over the hoop section and end domes. The aligned discontinuous fiber composite material has fibers in a prepreg tape that are at least 5 mm in length to 100 mm in length or less. Next, a continuous fiber-reinforced composite is wrapped over the aligned discontinuous fiber-reinforced composite along the hoop section and not wrapped along the end domes. The expandable core vessel may be pressurized and heated to consolidate the composite overwrap. Finally, the vessel is cooled under pressure resulting in the high-pressure composite pressure vessel.
CONTAINERS AND METHODS FOR PROTECTING PRESSURE VESSELS
A container includes one or more hollow shell assemblies, each assembly having a first hollow shell including a first inner surface to cover a portion of a pressure vessel (PV) and a second hollow shell including a second inner surface attachable to the first hollow shell. The first and/or second hollow shells may include a fiber layer that may be at least partially impregnated with resin, and an energy dissipating material that is substantially concentric with the inner surfaces of the respective shells. The first and second hollow shells are attachable to one another to define a volume for at least partially enclosing the PV, and may be overwrapped via filament winding.
Method for producing high-pressure gas storage container
A method produces a high-pressure gas storage container that includes a liner and a reinforcing layer. The liner houses a high-pressure gas. The reinforcing layer is formed by winding a plurality of strip-shaped reinforcing members around an outer perimeter surface of the liner. The method includes irradiating plasma on at least a portion of the reinforcing fibers, and adjusting an irradiation intensity of the plasma such that an irradiation amount of the plasma with respect to the reinforcing fibers becomes constant in accordance with changes in a transport speed of the reinforcing fibers.
Manufacturing method of tank
Provided is a manufacturing method for manufacturing a high-pressure tank by infiltrating resin into a fiber layer of a preform in which the fiber layer is formed on an outer surface a liner. The manufacturing method includes: a first supply step of supplying resin to the fiber layer of the preform; and a second supply step of, after the first supply step, supplying, to the fiber layer, resin to which spherical particles are added.
System and method of storing and recovering energy by means of compressed gas, comprising a mixed layer of prestressed concrete
The invention is a reservoir for the storage of a pressurized fluid such as compressed air notably to the storage and recovery of energy using compressed air. In particular, the reservoir comprises at least one tube formed of an arrangement of concentric layers (C1, C2, C3, C4). This arrangement comprises, working from the inside toward the outside of the tube, an internal layer (C1) formed of concrete, a layer (C2) formed of steel of thickness E, at least one layer (C3) formed by a winding of steel wires (C3″) on a sublayer (C3′) of concrete, and an external layer (C4) which protects the wires against at least one of physical and chemical damage, and in which the wires are subjected to circumferential (hoop) tensile prestress with at least one of the thickness E and the prestress being rated to withstand the pressure of pressurized fluid.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A WALL OF A SEALED AND THERMALLY INSULATING TANK HAVING INTER-PANEL INSULATING INSERTS
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sealed and thermally insulating tank wall comprising: providing a thermally insulating barrier comprising two insulating panels delimiting an inter-panel space, providing an insulating insert comprising a wrapper completely covering an insulating core, inserting a suction nozzle of a suction system into the insulating insert through an orifice in the wrapper, applying a vacuum pressure in the insulating insert so as to reduce the thickness of the insulating insert through vacuum pressure, inserting the insulating insert into the inter-panel space while maintaining the suction of the suction system, when the insulating insert has been inserted into the inter-panel space, removing the suction nozzle from the insulating insert.
High-pressure tank, vehicle including high-pressure tank, and method for manufacturing high-pressure tank
A high-pressure tank includes a liner, a fiber layer, and a protective layer. The liner has an internal space to store a fluid. The fiber layer includes fibers wound around an outer surface of the liner, and a thermosetting resin that has been cured and covers surfaces of the fibers. The protective layer includes a porous member disposed on the fibers, the porous member having a plurality of pores extending through the porous member in a thickness direction of the porous member. The thermosetting resin has entered the pores.
Module with reduced deterioration of binding member
A module includes a first member that is a battery or a gas tank in which pressure fluctuation happens along one axis direction, a pair of second members, the second members being arranged on end portions of the first member in the one axis direction, respectively, and a binding member binding the first member and the second members while pressurizing them. The binding member is formed as fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) containing fiber and resin is revolved.
