ORAL PRODUCTS WITH IMPROVED BINDING OF ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
The disclosure provides products configured for oral use, the products including compositions comprising a filler component including negatively charged groups and an active ingredient including positively charged groups. The active ingredient can be retained by the filler component at least in part through bonding between the negatively charged groups and the positively charged groups such that active ingredient may be release from the product when positioned within an oral cavity of a consumer.
ORAL PRODUCT WITH SUSTAINED FLAVOR RELEASE
The disclosure provides for solid products configured for oral use, the products including a carrier material; a releasable material; and wherein the releasable material is combined with the carrier material such that the releasable material is configured for sustained release from the solid product when the solid product is positioned in an oral cavity for a consumer. In another aspect, the disclosure provides for a method of preparing a solid product for oral use, the method comprising providing a releasable material in sprayable form; providing a pouch formed of a fibrous material; and spraying a flavor component onto a least a portion of the pouch one or both of before and after filling the pouch with the oral composition.
ORAL PRODUCT WITH MULTIPLE FLAVORANTS
The disclosure provides oral compositions and products formed therewith. Such compositions and products may include a first content of a flavor component having a first release rate and a second content of a flavor component having a second, different release rate. The disclosure further provides methods of preparing compositions and products for oral use. Such methods may include spray-drying a liquid flavor component to form particles of the liquid flavor component and mixing the particles of the liquid flavor component with a long-chain carbohydrate. Such methods also may include combining a content of a first flavor component, a content of a second flavor component, and a filler to form a composition suitable for insertion into an oral cavity. The compositions may be formed such that the first flavor component has a first release profile, and the second flavor component has a second, different release profile.
ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE FILLER AND ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE CARTRIDGE USING SAME
An electronic cigarette filler using a non-tobacco plant is provided, which has an effect to prevent dropping or falling of the filler from an electronic cigarette cartridge before use and after use. An electronic cigarette filler using a non-tobacco plant is provided, which contains an aerosol former and microcrystalline cellulose.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RECONSTITUTED PLANT MATERIAL
A method for manufacturing a reconstituted plant material includes the steps of extracting a fibrous plant material with a solvent to provide an extract and a fibrous portion, separating the extract from the fibrous portion, forming a base sheet from the fibrous portion, and applying the extract to the base sheet. One or more additional steps may also be included, such as (but not limited to), combining a nicotine salt with the extract, extracting the extract with supercritical carbon dioxide, concentrating the extract to provide a concentrated extract, and/or combining a flavouring contained within a humectant or nicotine contained within a humectant with the extract.
NON-TOBACCO PLANT COMPOSITION PREPARATION METHOD, ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE FILLER PREPARATION METHOD, ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE FILLER, AND ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE CARTRIDGE USING SAME
A process for producing a non-tobacco plant composition and a process for producing an electronic cigarette filler to be used for an electronic cigarette using a non-tobacco plant are provided with which cooling sensation of menthol can be enjoyed, capable of keeping menthol flavor even after long-term storage. A process for producing a non-tobacco plant composition includes a menthol-dissolving step of preliminarily mixing menthol, a lower alcohol and a water-insoluble crosslinked polymer to obtain a menthol-dissolved product, and a mixing step of mixing a non-tobacco plant, an aerosol former and the menthol-dissolved product obtained by the menthol-dissolving step.
AEROSOL GENERATION
The invention provides an aerosolizable material for use in an aerosol generating assembly, the aerosolizable material comprising a tobacco material, an un-encapsulated flavorant and an encapsulated flavorant.
ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE COMPOSITIONS, DEVICES, AND RELATED METHODS
Disclosed herein is an inhalable composition, suitable for use in an electronic cigarette device, comprising at least 1 g/L of nicotine and at least 2 g/L of carbon dioxide dissolved or dispersed in a solvent comprising glycerol and water, wherein the molar ratio of carbon dioxide to nicotine is at least 0.1:1;
wherein glycerol is present in an amount of at least 40% by weight, based on the total weight of the inhalable composition;
wherein water is present in an amount of 1-20% by weight, based on the total weight of the inhalable composition; and
wherein propylene glycol, when present, is present in an amount of no more than 10% by weight, based on the total weight of the inhalable composition.
AEROSOL-GENERATING SUBSTRATE COMPRISING AN OIL ADDITIVE
A heated aerosol-generating article for producing an inhalable aerosol is provided, the article including a rod of aerosol-generating substrate formed of one or more sheets of a homogenised tobacco material, the material being formed of an agglomeration of particles of tobacco material and including between 1 percent and 10 percent by weight of a medium chain triglyceride oil, on a dry weight basis, the oil having a melting point below 18 degrees Celsius and including one or more triglycerides having at least two fatty acid chains with a chain length of between 6 and 12 carbon atoms, and the one or more sheets being selected from reconstituted tobacco sheet and cast leaf. A rod of aerosol-generating substrate, an aerosol-generating system, and a method of making a homogenised tobacco material for an aerosol-generating article are also provided.
