Integrated methane refrigeration system for liquefying natural gas
Described herein is a method and system for liquefying a natural gas feed stream to produce an LNG product. The natural gas feed stream is liquefied, by indirect heat exchange with a gaseous methane or natural gas refrigerant circulating in a gaseous expander cycle, to produce a first LNG stream. The first LNG stream is expanded, and the resulting vapor and liquid phases are separated to produce a first flash gas stream and a second LNG stream. The second LNG stream is then expanded, with the resulting vapor and liquid phases being separated to produce the second flash gas stream and a third LNG stream, all or a portion of which forms the LNG product. Refrigeration is recovered from the second flash gas by using said stream to sub-cool the second LNG stream or a supplementary LNG stream.
INTEGRATED PROCESS FOR NGL (NATURAL GAS LIQUIDS RECOVERY) AND LNG (LIQUEFACTION OF NATURAL GAS)
The invention relates to an integrated process and apparatus for liquefaction of natural gas and recovery of natural gas liquids. In particular, the improved process and apparatus reduces the energy consumption of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) unit by using a portion of the already cooled overhead vapor from a fractionation column from an NGL (natural gas liquefaction) unit to, depending upon composition, provide, for example, reflux for fractionation in the NGL unit and/or a cold feed for the LNG unit, or by cooling, within the NGL unit, a residue gas originating from a fractionation column of the NGL unit and using the resultant cooled residue gas to, depending upon composition, provide, for example, reflux/feed for fractionation in the NGL and/or a cold feed for the LNG unit, thereby reducing the energy consumption of the LNG unit and rendering the process more energy-efficient.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LIQUEFACTION OF NATURAL GAS
By using the power generated by an expander by an expansion of material gas, the outlet pressure of a compressor is increased, and a requirement on the cooling capacity of a cooler is reduced. The liquefaction system (1) for natural gas comprises a first expander (3) for generating power by using natural gas under pressure as material gas; a first cooling unit (11, 12) for cooling the material gas depressurized by expansion in the first expander; a distillation unit (15) for reducing or eliminating a heavy component in the material gas by distilling the material gas cooled by the first cooling unit; a first compressor (4) for compressing the material gas from which the heavy component was reduced or eliminated by the distillation unit by using power generated in the first expander; and a liquefaction unit (21) for liquefying the material gas compressed by the first compressor by exchanging heat with a refrigerant.

Semi-closed loop LNG process
A semi-closed loop system for producing liquefied natural gas (LNG) that combines certain advantages of closed-loop systems with certain advantages of open-loop systems to provide a more efficient and effective hybrid system. In the semi-closed loop system, the final methane refrigeration cycle provides significant cooling of the natural gas stream via indirect heat transfer, as opposed to expansion-type cooling. A minor portion of the LNG product from the methane refrigeration cycle is used as make-up refrigerant in the methane refrigeration cycle. A pressurized portion of the refrigerant from the methane refrigeration cycle is employed as fuel gas. Excess refrigerant from the methane refrigeration cycle can be recombined with the processed natural gas stream, rather than flared.
System for incondensable component separation in a liquefied natural gas facility
A liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility that employs a system to remove incondensable material from one or more refrigeration cycles within the facility. One or more embodiments of the present invention can be advantageously employed in an open-loop refrigeration cycle to remove at least a portion of one or more high vapor pressure components that have accumulated in the refrigerant cycle over time. In addition, several embodiments can be advantageously employed to stabilize facility operation in the event of drastic changes to the concentration of the natural gas feed stream introduced into the facility.

METHOD FOR CONVERTING CARBON DIOXIDE INTO SNG OR LNG AND STORING HYDROGEN
Methods are for storing electricity and producing liquefied natural gas (LNG) or synthetic natural (SNG) and using carbon dioxide and for producing electricity, natural gas (NG) or SNG. The methods involve, starting from a water flow, producing an oxygen gas flow and a hydrogen gas flow by electrolysis in an electrolytic cell. A first hydrogen gas flow portion and a second hydrogen gas flow portion are obtained. The first hydrogen gas flow portion is allocated to a methanation step in the presence of carbon dioxide gas. A condensed recirculation water vapor flow is obtained to be allocated to the methanation step and performing methanation. The second hydrogen gas flow portion is allocated to a cooling and liquefaction step. A liquid hydrogen flow is obtained, which is stored in a liquid hydrogen tank.
Systems and methods for removing nitrogen during liquefaction of natural gas
Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for removing nitrogen during liquefaction of natural gas. In one implementation, a nitrogen rejection unit is used in an LNG facility to remove nitrogen from natural gas during an LNG liquefaction process. The nitrogen rejection unit contains at least two columns and at least one 3-stream condenser, 2-stream condenser or a two 2-stream condenser.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING NITROGEN DURING LIQUEFACTION OF NATURAL GAS
Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for removing nitrogen during liquefaction of natural gas. In one implementation, a nitrogen rejection unit is used in an LNG facility to remove nitrogen from natural gas during an LNG liquefaction process. The nitrogen rejection unit contains at least two columns and at least one 3-stream condenser, 2-stream condenser or a two 2-stream condenser.
