Method for preparing flavorful compounds isolated from black liquor and products incorporating the flavorful compounds
A method of isolating compounds from a tobacco-derived black liquor, including receiving a black liquor from a pulping process of an input material comprising a plant of the Nicotiana species, treating the black liquor with an acid to lower the pH of the black liquor to about 7 or lower in order to produce a precipitate and an acidified black liquor, separating the precipitate and the acidified black liquor, extracting the acidified black liquor with an organic solvent in order to produce an organic layer extract and an aqueous layer extract, and separating the organic layer extract and the aqueous layer extract.
ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE COMPOSITIONS, DEVICES, AND RELATED METHODS
Disclosed herein is an inhalable composition, suitable for use in an electronic cigarette device, comprising at least 1 g/L of nicotine and carbon dioxide dissolved or dispersed in a solvent.
DEVICE FOR GENERATING AN INHALABLE MEDIUM, ITS USE TO PROVIDE SUSTAINED NICOTINE DELIVERY, CARTRIDGE AND TOBACCO COMPOSITION POD SUITABLE FOR USE THEREIN
Disclosed herein is a device for generating an inhalable medium, the device including a container for holding a liquid; a heater for volatilizing liquid held in the container; a chamber containing a tobacco composition; and an outlet; the arrangement being such that in use, an inhalable medium passes out of the outlet, the medium comprising volatilized liquid in the form of a vapor and/or an aerosol and one or more constituents of the tobacco composition; wherein the tobacco composition comprises a tobacco material and an encapsulated base.
Extraction method of flavor constituent and manufacturing method of composition element of favorite item
An extraction method of a flavor constituent comprises: a step A for heating a tobacco raw material which is subjected to an alkali treatment; and a step B for bringing a release component released in the gas phase in the step A into contact with a collection solvent at normal temperature until any time from when a first condition is satisfied to when a second condition is satisfied. The total amount of saccharides contained in the tobacco raw material is 9.0 wt % or less when a gross weight of the tobacco raw material in the dry state is 100 wt %. The first condition is determined based on variations in the pH of the collection solution. The second condition is determined based on the remaining amount of nicotine component.
METHOD FOR INCREASING BULKINESS OF RECONSTITUTED TOBACCO
A method for increasing bulkiness of reconstituted tobacco by adding tobacco stem particles includes (1) pulverizing a first portion of tobacco stems to obtain tobacco stem particles; (2) classifying the tobacco stem particles with mesh sieves and selecting the tobacco stem particles with a predetermined mesh size; (3) extracting a second portion of the tobacco stems with water and grinding to form a tobacco stem slurry that has a beating degree of 12-14° SR, and mixing the tobacco stem slurry with tobacco leaves in a weight ratio of 6:4 and grinding to obtaining a tobacco slurry that has a beating degree of 18-20° SR; (4) cutting plant fiber pulp boards and dispersing in water to form a plant fiber pulp; (5) preparing a filler solution that contains 10 wt % of a mineral filler; (6) mixing, rolling and drying to obtain the reconstituted tobacco.
ORAL COMPOSITION INCLUDING GELS
The disclosure provides for an oral composition comprising a gel. The gel may be formed of a long chain carbohydrate, such as an alginate, that is crosslinked with a suitable crosslinking agent. Other material, such as fillers, active ingredients, flavor components, and the like may be included in the gel or otherwise combined with the gel to form an oral product. The disclosure further provides methods of preparing oral compositions.
Beaded Tobacco Material and Related Method of Manufacture
The disclosure provides a product including a plurality of beads configured for oral use, the plurality of beads containing bleached plant material, a filler, a binder, water, and at least one flavoring agent, active ingredient, or a combination thereof. Further provided are pouched products including the plurality of beads, and a process for preparing the beads.
TREATMENT OF TOBACCO
Methods of fermenting a tobacco material and methods of modifying the total bacterial content of a tobacco material are provided herein. One example method includes treating a tobacco material with superheated steam in a pressurized vessel to provide a steam-treated tobacco material having a reduced total bacteria content and fermenting the steam-treated tobacco material in the presence of one or more microorganisms to provide a fermented tobacco material. In some embodiments, the methods provided herein can provide a fermented tobacco material having a tobacco-specific nitrosamine content that is reduced relative to a fermented tobacco material that has not been subjected to the disclosed method steps and/or a modified flavor or aroma profile relative to a fermented tobacco material that has not been subjected to the disclosed method steps.
A MULTIPURPOSE POTENTIATOR COMPOSITION AND THE METHODS THEREOF
Disclosed is a multipurpose potentiator composition comprising: sodium carbonate monohydrate, sodium carbonate anhydrous, potassium nitrate, sodium chloride and water such that the potentiating composition is applied to alter physical or chemical properties or both of a substance on which the potentiating composition is applied. Also provided is a container for holding the composition.
Vaporizable tobacco wax compositions and container thereof
The invention relates to tobacco wax compositions suitable for use in a vaporizer. The tobacco wax may comprise additional excipients including vapor agents, penetration agents, buffer agents, and rheological agents. The composition contains nicotine. The tobacco wax composition leaves a minimum of residue in the vaporizer when used. In another aspect, the invention relates to a portion-sized container (pod) of a tobacco wax composition for administration to a mammal or person. The pod is intended for use in a personal (or other) vaporizer.
