Vibratory Flash Dryer
An apparatus for drying and conveying a material includes a vibratory fluid bed dryer having a perforated drying deck on which material is deposited, said fluid bed dryer including a vibratory drive system capable of imparting a variable angle vibratory force to the deck. A flash dryer is also provided, having a fan and heater for supplying hot air through the fluid bed dryer deck and a cyclone for collecting finished, dried material particles.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING SPENT COFFEE GROUNDS
In order to capture and divert a significantly larger percentage of SCG generated on a daily basis, the present system, method and apparatus processes SCG right at the source of a bulk of SCG generation, namely the many tens of thousands of coffee shops around the world. In an aspect, there is provided a system, method, and apparatus for promptly dewatering collected SCG, and efficiently drying the SCG to a sufficiently low level of moisture content to stabilize the SCG for further processing. In an embodiment, the dewatered and dried SCG is collected within a predetermined number of hours for processing at a central processing facility, where the SCG is further processed into one or more high quality food grade ingredients for potential human consumption.
RECOVERY SYSTEM FOR PREPARING MAGNESIUM SULFATE FROM SULFURIC ACID WASTE SOLUTION AND METHOD THEREOF
A recovery system for preparing magnesium sulfate from sulfuric acid waste solution is disclosed. The system comprises a reactor configured to remove hydrogen peroxide from the sulfuric acid waste solution and to promote a reaction between the sulfuric acid waste solution and a magnesium-based neutralizing agent to form a magnesium sulfate solution, a crystallization device configured to cool the magnesium sulfate solution and continuously crystallize magnesium sulfate crystals and a crystallization mother liquor, a dewatering device configured to separate the crystallization mother liquor from the magnesium sulfate crystals, and a drying device configured to obtain magnesium sulfate hydrates containing 0 to 7 molecules of crystalline water by controlling a drying temperature. A method for preparing magnesium sulfate using the recovery system is also disclosed.
